We spent a weekend in Toronto and had a great time. When we arrived at night and asked about dining (at the check in desk), Greta was super helpful. She pulled out a map and shared her neighborhood suggestions. We considered the CN Tower Restaurant but were worried it was a mediocre "tourist trap" restaurant. She let us know that...

Snapped up a boat show overnight deal and was impressed. We took VIA Rail into town and walked to the hotel. Our room wasn't ready but the hotel allowed us to leave our baggage in a locked room so we could jump on the free shuttle to the Toronto Boat Show. Normally we walk everywhere when in downtown TO but,...

Great location. Not far from the eaton centre and accross from the City Hall. This hotel benefits with access to the PATH system. The hotel lobby has numerous lifts and escalators. The hotel staff were extremely helpfull, professional and pleasant. The room was very modern and clean and our room had a excellent view of the CN tower and tall...

Typical Sheraton with good restaurant and clean rooms, etc. Service acceptable and provided us with a late checkout which was handy. The only complaint is that as a Marriott Gold member, Sheraton is not yet primed to accept the Marriott perks that go with it, such as the concierge lounge which they wanted $100 CN PER NIGHT to use. I...

Was very please with the services provided at the Sheraton Centre. The staff were extremely helpful. Room had a balcony with a lovely courtyard view. I was 'stuck' working in my hotel all day but with the fast wifi, comfy couch to relax on with my laptop and a nice breeze coming from the balcony, the time flew by. It...

We brought our mums to Toronto for a 4 night break and have previously stayed at the Sheraton Hotel - to us, there is no other hotel to stay in in Toronto. It is really well placed with excellent restaurants in the local area - The Keg, Earls, Quinns Steakhouse to name but a few. The staff were exceptional -...

I have used this hotel many times because it has spacious rooms, fantastic views from allmost all rooms in the two high towers, and because of its location. It also has a big in- and outdoor swimming pool, and big breakfasts in a downstairs restarant, also good for hamburgers and beers. It has a basement corridor which goes all the...

The room was generally quite nice, what you'd expect from a Sheraton, but what I didn't expect was the CONSTANT NOISE. What is going on in the room above me? An off-balance washing machine? A train? Who knows! Certainly not the front desk, who I called twice and got the broken promise of a call back with answers, and nor...

Beautiful property. Front desk staff was super nice & friendly. Loved the beautiful water fall in the middle of the lobby. Staff were very responsive when requested for amenities. Room very clean and comfortable. It was a girls night out weekend so we decided to stay in downtown for 1 evening. Will stay here again!

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
