Amazing view of the water from this hotel, while also being right in the heart of downtown. It was as easy walk from Union Station, which is a 25 minute ride from the airport. Easy walk to Roger's Stadium or Ripleys Aquarium. I didn't have time to use the pool but I could see it from my room. It looked awesome, and again it comes with an amazing view of the lake. I'm really glad I picked this place and will stay here again if I come back to Toronto.
Easy walking distance to many sights. A great view of the lake. We will stay at the Radisson Blu again; however, we will call beforehand to ensure we have the correct number of beds. The staff were very helpful and polite.
Great location on the quay. We had a great room over looking the lake. The room was a good size and clean. Some of the furniture could do with a refresh. Front desk was helpful. Hard to communicate with masks and a screen . The pool was great to use as well. The only reason we are giving this a four not a five star was it was four star prices but no breakfast, room service or bar at the hotel which I think isn’t great.
Lovely hotel on the harbour front with friendly staff. Location is great, 5 min walk to CN Tower and Rogers Centre. Plenty of restaurants etc near by. Had a view of the CN Tower from our room. Pool area looked nice however didn’t go in the pool as didn’t have time. Would stay here again!
Beautifully located on Queen’s Quay West , you will enjoy a relaxing holiday close to many sights and restaurants. A terrace on the fifth floor boasts an outdoor swimming pool and bar and an indoor event space.
Smaller hotel, but wonderfully updated and right on the waterfront. Stayed for 1 night and went to the Jays game. Check in was a breeze and the outdoor pool was very well heated in early June. Parking was $28 + tax on top of the rate but we were able to park hours before check-in and its good til 6pm the next day. Super close to Rogers Center, Ripleys Aquarium and many other sights within walking distance. The harbour front it a neat walk, watching the planes land and take off on the island. I would stay here during our next visit if the rate is within our budget.
We booked three nights in the Radisson Blu, a couple of weeks ago at the beginning of our recent Canadian holiday. It looked great on the web site and was very well located for the wedding that we attended on the first Saturday of our trip. Accommodation costs in downtown Toronto are sky high and the Radisson Blu was no exception. We justified the cost to ourselves by the sumptuous facilities that had been advertised, and still are advertised at this property. When we arrived, we were extremely disappointed to find that the advertised leisure facilities were all closed. We had not been previously advised that the roof top pool would be closed and the restaurant and bar alongside also being unavailable. There was no reduction in the price because of this. No apology. No excuse. No cost reduction. In addition, for much of our stay, only one of the two lifts that serve the bedroom floors was serviceable. We sometimes had to wait a long while for the lift to arrive. On checking in, the front desk took quite a hefty "security deposit" from my credit card and when we got to our room, there was a large gouge in the door jamb where somebody must have used a gemmy to try to force entry. The room safe did not work and I took a photo of the door damage as I did not want to be held responsible for it. I went back to the reception desk and thankfully a lady who was in charge took ownership of our problem. I was unhappy about the room and I was unhappy that despite having paid full price, the advertised facilities were not available. We had not received any previous notification that this would be the case. She moved our room and gave us some vouchers for breakfast (if you could call it that) in the Starbucks-like coffee shop in the foyer. Top dollar hotel, breakfast out of cardboard cups and disposable cutlery but our thanks are sent to this member of staff who endeavoured to make matters better. In fairness, the pool was re-opened on the second day of our stay and very nice it was too. The bar/restaurant alongside remained closed for the duration of our stay. That was not the end of the problems with this property. It is clear that little attention is given towards the day to day maintenance of the place. In our second room, we found the safe was working, but had been left locked. The front desk called "engineering" and it took them nearly 24 hours to respond. There were trivial things around and about that could have easily been fixed, for example the handles on the glass door to our shower were rattling loose, the fridge unit in our room had a wonky door and as said, one of the two lifts was out of service for much of our stay. Having a good technician on site, with an attention to detail could have made the place so much better. Finally, our concerns about security. Having seen clear evidence of an attempted break in to a room, this caused some worry. There was a full time security person in the lobby which, the need for it in itself is a cause for concern. A different person every day, but never once were we challenged or checked by them as we came and went. So, would I recommend the Radisson Blu? It is very good for location but did not provide what was advertised and was rapidly becoming dilapidated and shabby. They charged top prices but did not come up with the goods or service to reflect that cost. We felt ripped off. There are lots of upmarket hotels in the vicinity and my advice would be to give the Radisson Blu a wide berth and if you need to stay downtown, go to one of the others instead. I won't be returning.…
The staff in this hotel is so friendly and are very quick to help you with your needs if any arise. The rooms are very nice as well, city view is perfect because you can get a view of the CN Tower, so I can only imagine how the lake view would be.
The pool area was closed and no room service available. The front desk didn’t take the time to listen to the feedback. I just didn’t feel welcomed. There was sound check across the marina but not a concert and the room shook with the sound of the bass. Very close to Rogers Center. No specials or discounts for restaurants nearby.
Booked 5 nights at this hotel, based on reviews and location. First impressions - Actually pretty poor. The reception looks nothing like the photos and is oddly tatty and ‘untidy’. The exterior of the building is also looking a bit tired. We actually panicked a little when we arrived expecting something a bit higher end. However, the check in was swift, efficient and friendly - as were all the staff. They all were helpful when required and always greeted us as we walked past. I was a bit concerned when it transpired that the included breakfast was actually vouchers for use in the ‘cafe’ in reception. More on that later. We had paid more for a corner suite overlooking the lake and its fair to say the corridors and the room itself made up for the slightly tatty reception. The corridors are modern and clean and the room was just short of fantastic. It was spacious with a brilliant shuttered floor to ceiling wraparound view of the city and lake. We were very impressed. There were, it turned out, some defects. The fire surround was falling apart and the plumbing in the bathroom made an odd high pitched whine when the lavatory was flushed. The coffee machine also made the smallest coffee shots I’ve ever seen in my life and I couldn’t work out how to make them use more water. The bed was amazingly comfortable. One of the best we’ve had in any hotel. After the initial disappointment of getting ‘vouchers’ for breakfast, it actually turned out a bit of a highlight. The cafe opens each morning with a full selection of sandwiches, pastries, sweets, fruit, juices and coffees. We loved it. Was actually better than a sit down restaurant style. All breakfasts can be sit in or to go. The location of the hotel is good, on the waterfront within 10 minutes of the financial district, CN tower, etc. So - after a poor first impression I’m happy to give this 4 stars. Maybe time to spruce up and refurb the reception folks?…
