I stayed there for a Conference in March. The location is good in downtown Toronto. But the entrance is on a small street and a little hard to find. They were undergoing remodeling and it smells chemical from low quality remodeling materials all over the hotel. I also checked out after one night because the smell was too strong. They...

If you like noisy construction and drilling right above your room, wifi that cuts in-and-out that isn't fixed after calling tech-support 5 times, dirty un-vacuumed carpets with garbage around the beds and hair in the sink, then this hotel is for you. Or, alternatively, stay somewhere else!!

Rather basic and a little worn and tired in decor generally. I wished they'd told us they were under construction, as we were woken earlier on Sunday morning than we had planned. If we had known, we would not have stayed.

I cannot give it a proper review as they were doing work at the hotel! When I arrived early the guy at the desk gave me my room early which I always thinks is good sign. Lots of construction work was being done, which was pointed out to me, their would be noise! I had a room on the 14th...

Would strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. It is very run down. They are currently doing renovations so might get better I guess. I asked for a quiet room and was given one next to where they are doing renovations. I was very unimpressed not to be told the hotel was under significant Reno's when I booked. Also the official hotel...

Stayed here a number of times. Nice to be recognized upon checking in. Even the parking garage attendant remembered me. During my last visit I had to use crutches. Everyone was sooo helpful The hotel is going through some renovations. Last three visits I was given pristine rooms. Extremely well thought out.

My friend and I arrived here having selected this hotel at a fantastic rate (in comparison to the standard rate as advertised on the website). Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely staff member - Ravish, who was accommodating, extremely helpful and friendly. We were upgraded to one of the newly refurbished rooms with 2 queen beds. The staff...

We were lucky to have a newly renovated room... the beds were huge! There were useful mod cons and a lovely fresh, clean shower! The staff were helpful and the location was perfectly central! And the breakfast was free.... just get there early as it goes quickly!

Got sent here by West Jet (nearly an hour from YYZ!) for a 3-hour layover. Better than sleeping in the airport anyway. The concierge was friendly and efficient (many of us waiting for rooms at midnight due to missed connections). Had my room within 10 minutes. The carpets look terrible, but maybe that's the look they're going for?! But the...

I was in town for the first time alone in Toronto. I am only 25 years old and this stay was a BIG deal for me. The hotel staff made me feel so welcome upon check in and I felt safe and secure right away. They were able to check me in early and even upgraded me to a renovated...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
