Was staying in Toronto for an overnight theater experience. The Omni is a pretty impressive hotel with a nice staff and comfortable rooms. The $50 parking fee (via valet) they charge guests is pretty steep considering the price to stay at the Omni isn't cheap to begin with, but it IS Toronto I guess. Within walking distance of theateres and...

I booked the Omni King Edward for a short one night stay for my husband's bday. I booked it based on all the positive reviews I read on TripAdvisor, and was not disappointed. I had booked the premium King room directly from the hotel website and opted to sign up for their Select membership which provides perks such as free...

We stayed in the Omni King Edward for the first time for two nights in February. The experience was very good. Starting with the friendly and helpful front desk staff to the friendly good bye when we left by the doorman. The only hitch we had, if you would call it that, is that the key to our assigned room...

Booked 3 rooms in January for a family celebration. I had made reservations in December and was pleasantly surprised at the reasonable rates compared to other downtown luxury hotels. We were offered the option to purchase Royal Club Lounge access and decided to accept - a great decision. As a party of 7, the Lounge was a comfortable, quiet and...

Once you go through the revolving door the lobby is very nice, historical setting and lots of sitting area, booths and tables. My room is a king size bed, no bath tub but marbled walled showers. Very clean and no smell room. Huge round mirror at the desk. Room is equipped with a mini fridge, you can get you drinks...

This hotel is majestic, old architecture, almost a 'living' collection of modernized buildings on King St. and will not be confused with any chain property. It is easily accessible to/from the Gardiner and within walking distance or very short cab ride of the Entertainment District. Pull up out front, unload while parked in the curb lane of King St. and...

Please treat yourself ....you deserve a stay here. Spent three nights in the jumbo sized Executive king suite and have not one complaint. The grand lobby will be you first clue that you made a great choice... stop and have a whiskey on ice in posh Consort Bar before riding up to the beautifully redecorated rooms. I'm easy to please...

Went to the king eddie hotel to enjoy a weekend with my husband. Although the new decor of the king eddie is not my taste, i can see why others have made positive comments. The rooms are spacious and very clean. The bathroom gorgeous! We were close to everything in toronto. Great place to stay. Considering the price i would...

This is a very nice hotel. Recently renovated, very nice decor, and modern. Rooms are surprisingly large for a downtown Toronto hotel, and bathrooms are quite spacious also. Staff is very friendly and this is in a nice location. 10-15 min walk to ACC/Union Station, 2 mins from King St. Subway station. Would visit again. Only small issue is parking...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
