Stayed at this hotel on 11/26-11/27. Was far from our first choice for a hotel, but rooms were booked up or very expensive with Grey Cup weekend going on. First, unloading was extremely difficult, as you have to park on the street and spots were extremely limited. Was "lucky" enough to get the last spot available in their tiny underground...

This can be a good hotel if you pick the right days. You have to try different dates. We got a great rate for a Thursday nite (79 +t) but Friday price doubled. Basement parking was pricy at $26. but included multi entry. Room was clean and quiet. If I can get the $79. price I will stay again.

My husband and I stayed two nights with our 2 year old and baby. The room was very clean, the bed were comfortable, and the linens were high quality. The room had two double beds, and they provided a play pen for the baby to sleep in, which was also very clean. The reason I'm not giving a full 5-star...

My first night (of 4) was a total disaster. I travelled with colleagues who shared a room at a much nicer hotel and I stayed here alone. I would not recommend this place for a woman staying alone. The people lingering near the hotel and the general vibe around there was pretty uncomfortable although I don't think really unsafe. I...

I couldn't get into the hotel I wanted and wound up booking close to my meetings. I realize this is a budget hotel however....... The toilet ran very frequently, I had unpacked and didn't want to move; it was in a quiet area and that was important. So I jerry-rigged it so it wouldn't run and untied it in the...

The room was clean and fairly large. We also did not experience any noice hinder (4th floor). Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and had lots of choices. Location wise, it is pretty far away from the CN tower and other tourist attractions by foot, but very close to the subway, which will take you there in...

Hotel has signage stating it is under renovations. Rooms are clean but the wallpaper is peeling. Room had a floral smell to it - which isn't very good for people sensitive to scents. Beds were comfortable. Room was large but bathroom was very small. Staff was friendly. Breakfast room has a funny layout and is very cramped. There is no...

We stayed for three nights. It was clean and comfortable and a good size room. The bathroom was very small though. We thought it was a bit far our from the main attractions though just of a Main Street to downtown and close to a couple old subway stations. We didn't attempt the free breakfast as there was no room...

This hotel has a great location near the Bloor/Yonge subway but on a side street so it's pretty quiet. Our room looked like it could use some new furniture/decor but it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff at the front desk were friendly and efficient and it was nice to be able to park right under...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
