We stayed at this hotel in May 2012. We were in a 1 bedroom suite on the 15th floor. Overall, the hotel was incredibly clean. Lobby staff were always friendly and very knowledgable with the area. Elevators were super quick. Our room was exactly what we expected. Nice size. My dad had to go to Toronto for medical reason`s, so...

Had a superb stay at the cambridge suites. The front staff were extremely welcoming, even though we arrived far too early looking bedraggled after the 12hour bus ride from new york and officially "landing" in Canada. They looked after our luggage, gave us a coffee and a muffin and told us they would make every effort to have our room...

I received a very warm reception at the Front Desk and my check-in was extremely efficient. My king-size suite was very spacious with a well stocked mini bar and appropriate glassware. The bed and pillows were superb making for a very good night's sleep. The furniture is getting a little dated but the room layout and comfort level are excellent....

I needed to attend a conference and work meeting in Toronto and had to work with a limited budget. The conference was at one of the big chain hotels about 3-4 blocks away and I saved a lot by staying at the Cambridge Suites Hotel compared to other people that I know that stayed in the conference hotel. Oddly enough,...

Biggest complaint was the air quality - the room was very stuffy, like an old sock. The rooms were spacious and the staff were very friendly. The hotel restaurant had a nice selection and good quality food. Overall value was good.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
