Very nice hotel situated near many of great attractions in Toronto. Rooms were very comfortable with great views of Toronto from 22nd floor. Service was very good with friendly helpful staff. located near aquarium, CN towers, rogers field and watefront and short walk to down town shopping, hockey hall of fame. Lots of construction in area right now so check...

We chose this location based on proximity to CN Tower and Rogers Center and were not disappointed! Rooms were a bit dated, but clean and spacious. Bathrooms had plenty of counter space which was nice. Gym area is small but you can manage. I think they have 3 treadmills, 4-5 various cardio machines, 4-5 weight machines. Hotel was within walking...

A lot of hype for not much zest. Stayed 3 nights wish it had been 1. Over priced. Swimming pool etc. out of order. Had to call to have the lock on the suite door refastened. View of the island, airport & surrounding area very nice. Bar & restaurant terribly overpriced. Staff a little stuffy. Also could not control room...

We stayed at the Intercontinental during FanExpo In August. The location couldn't be better. Gorgeous view out our window of the CN Tower and Ripleys Aquarium. The room was very clean and spacious for downtown Toronto and the bed was super comfortable. I had requested extra coffee and towels and both requests were filled promptly. We were allowed to check...

Stayed here 5 times in the last 3 years and its my first choice in Toronto. It might not have the external looks and charactor of the Royal York Hotel down the road but inside the standard of the rooms and the internet connection is far superior. Good food (including wide breakfast choice) down in the restaurant and a decent...

We stayed here for two nights, August 22 and 23, 2014. We had two special occasions on this weekend. We celebrated our thirty third wedding anniversary and our youngest daughters' wedding and reception was also being held in the hotel. The wedding ceremony and reception was flawless. All the details had been taken care of by the staff from start...

The location is very convenient, in the heart of the financial district, on Front Street West and the junction of Simcoe Street. It’s about a 5min walk to St Andrew Subway Station, or 7mins walk to Union Subway Station. But Union Subway Station is under construction (when I went in late June 2014), so it’s more of a walk to...

We chose the hotel based on price (incredibly reasonable) and the location (central and walking distance to nice restaurants and shopping) as we were staying for several days for a wedding. Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
