This hotel is located right in the heart of downtown Toronto. It is close to Union Station and subway access. It is near both the Air Canada Center and the Rogers Center (Skydome). There are good restaurants fairly close and lots of enertainment in the area - theatres, Distillery District, Second City, and great shopping. When we arrived, we were...

Our room was spacious and clean plenty of room to store all our shopping and the beds were really comfortable. We were missing our slippers and robes when we checked in but once...

I have stayed here twice - enjoyed both times. Lobby is nice and I had excellent check in. Ordering food was easy, and was close to walk to other food type in nearby walkways and basement lobby stores. The south facing side faces the waterfront, and Steamwhistle brewery... Built in a train station with a turn table in the middle...

Great pre-Christmas stay here! We were upgraded on check-in to a deluxe room with fantastic views of the CN Tower. The room is clean, comfortable, quiet and really spacious for a city hotel. We would very happily return in future.

I have had the opportunity to stay in this Hotel on several occasions lately and it is a great place to stay. It is within walking distance to Union Station and the shuttle bus for the Toronto Island Airport if you are using Porter Airlines. You can walk to see a Bluejays game or a hockey game and it's close...

I stayed in this hotel many years ago and was happy to see that it has been kept in excellent condition. Parking yourself is $30 (valet is $50) and you have to carry your luggage through the parking ramp to get to the hotel. We only had one bag, but if you have more, I suggest dropping off bags with the bellman standing outside hotel before parking. We stayed one night in a room basically right next to the elevator. The hotel is used - one can see it is old. It is however clean and the stuff is nice and helpfull. I didn't however have a nice welcome. Did not try the spa - wasn't sure I want to be disapointed. The bar is terrible - they even cannot make a proper cosmo.

Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
