Perfect location for Toronto tourist trip, amazing view of the blue jays field. The rooms are good and mattresses very comfortable. The pool is out of the way and in need of a complete overhaul and face lift as it’s worn down, dingy and it could be bright and welcoming with pool features for family fun.

Our original plan was a trip to Niagara Falls, which btw, we loved. Toronto was a last minute thing for a quick 2 night trip. The city is very clean and busy but walkable and feels completely safe even at night. We did the city bus tour which is good if you're short on time but definitely not cheap at $60 per person. You can use the ticket for 24 hours as a hop-on hop-off transport but the busses wind down around 4:30 pm. A trip to St Lawrence Market is a must for good food, and a half mile walk from there to the distillery district has great little shops, restaurants and live music. In all, we're happy we made the trip and could see another visit someday.

I made my first trip to Canada as part of a group bus tour. Our trip included lodging at this Marriott, which is connected to Rogers Field. The rooms were very large and comfortable. It was quiet at night. The employees were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is right next to the CN tower, which is something I highly suggest experiencing. It’s also walking distance to the waterfront and to numerous shops and restaurants. We ate in the Sportsnet Grill for a late snack after a game, and for a breakfast buffet that was included with our package. The views inside the stadium were really cool. The flatbread and beer were good. The breakfast was standard hotel food. I didn’t want to take any stars away, but there were a couple things. The fan on our AC didn’t work the whole time we were there. You could hear it try to come on but it didn’t work. We reported it to the front desk but it wasn’t fixed while we were there. We set the AC on 64 and could feel a little cool air but it wouldn’t circulate. Also, if you want your room made up you had to request it. We weren’t told that, but we didn’t check ourselves in since we were part of a group. They brought us towels when we called ask why the room wasn’t refreshed.

Visited May 18/19 with my elderly parents to enjoy a Jays game in the comfort of a hotel room. Upon arrival and before we could even unload our luggage, a friendly bellhop came and securely held it while we waited for our room to be ready (arrived well before the 3pm check in). Happily, we enjoyed lunch, libations and fantastic views and service in the attached SportsNet Grill until the room was ready. Our luggage was promptly delivered once we checked into our room. Watching a game in the hotel has been bucket list my entire life and I nearly fainted walking into our two-level executive suite. Two upper windows open (floor to wall windows the entirety of the one wall) and the ballpark is immediately in your room. We ordered room service and were eating ballpark treats (hot dogs, chicken fingers) on the couch in our pjs within minutes. The staff actually care and go above and beyond to ensure you're having the time of your life. The ballpark was transformed into gala seating for a Jays charity event while we slept and we noticed neither lights nor sound all night. It was mind-boggling to open the curtains and see the field completely changed. The next morning, we enjoyed brunch in the SportsNet Grill. There was plenty of choice and the food was fresh and delicious and service outstanding. Bonus if you are a hardcore Jays fan, you will run into players/coaches/tv personalities. That thrill was almost too much to handle!

We had a wonderful stay. Loved the city view, great location we went to a jays game, dinner at vagabond which was a 5 minute walk, and went to Ridley which was a 2 minute walk. Will definitely stay here again even if we don’t go to jays game. Kids loved running around the outside and it was great not having to walk far or take transit. Lauren at the front desk was warm, inviting, and welcoming. It was very convenient having breakfast restaurant in the lobby we didn’t have to search for somewhere to eat. They don’t take reservations which was fine, no wait and ample tables. Very fair prices for buffet, but would like to see better quality scrambled eggs and the pastries were quite stale. But great selection for kids and very fresh fruit and delicious coffee we enjoyed.

Took the Go Train into Union and walked to the hotel, not far at all and mostly indoors. Picked a field view room which was pretty remarkable, no games going on but a cool thing to look at. Lights stay on all night so it your room despite curtains does not get truly dark. Loved that room had a keurig, good water pressure and clean. No wifi was available during my entire stay, it was out and I had to call their IT to let them know, twice because I had places to go and couldn't wait on hold any longer the first time....not sure why it is guests job? Pool: walking down the slippery wet stairs was scary, very strong smell of chlorine/javex throughout, perhaps just been power washed? Pick up your towel in the gym area or you are towel less. Breakfast on site was borderline horrible. Please avoid the buffet. My grand daughter wanted pancakes, I could not cut them with a butter knife and was kindly offered a steak knife to try.... Pastries were stale, eggs were hard crusted....avoid it. Hardest part of the stay was a large group arrived and apparently decided to stay up all night and party, not hotels fault, and we were a long walk from the elevators but did you have to stick me in the middle of this hallway partying group! I finally despite my best to stuff towels etc to block the noise called at 3:15 am to front and kindly asked them to break it up...so by 4 am it got quiet thankfully. When checking out, the lady apologized for all the noise the night before...it must have been noted I had called. I wonder if she knew I made a lengthy call to IT to find out the receiver was broken and wouldn't be repaired until Monday lol What I learned: I loved the cleanliness of the room, would call sooner on loud guests, would take a walk to another venue for breakfast and would pick the field view again despite the lit room.

Dear SherryBicroft, Thank you for your time and your review. I am glad that you enjoyed some aspects of your stay and I am truly sorry that all of your expectations were not met. I have provided your feedback to both my Front Office team and Food and Beverage team so that we can improve both the way we block rooms and the quality of the offering at the breakfast buffet. I apologize as well that your internet did not work, the most common issue is guests own firewalls or settings not allowing connection so that is why we have them call so that our provider can walk them through the steps to connect, unfortunately this was not the case in your situation. I do hope you will give us another try if your travels bring you back to Toronto. Regards Michael Jensen

We stayed at this hotel to visit Toronto and see a Blue Jays game. We had a huge room and really enjoyed the location and pool/hot tub area. The hotel does not reserve spots for guests during baseball games so we had to park our car a few blocks away at the convention center which was unfortunate.

We stayed in adjoining King suites that had a fantastic view of the CN Tower, aquarium & Roundhouse. The rooms were huge and the beautiful new bathrooms were equally as large. Unfortunately, the pull-out couches for our kids were terrible and you could feel the springs in the mattresses. The one room also had issues with the cooling and was quite warm, the other room had a really loud AC unit. Great soundproof windows, didn’t here any noise from the busy square that our rooms looked over.

We have visited this hotel several years ago and enjoyed our stay the, so we came back for my wife’s birthday. Well, happy we did. We’re greeted by Hayley, at the front desk, she was very personable and gave us the best service. Very nice young lady. Our room was exactly as reserved and had a great view of the baseball stadium (Rogers Centre). Wi-fi was free and room was very clean. Had a very good buffet breakfast in the morning with all the usual items…bacon, sausage, eggs, fresh fruit. If your coming to Toronto, please consider this hotel.

We had the best time at the Marriott City Centre Toronto! The staff were all extremely kind and accommodating, the hotel was very clean, and it had so many fine touches that we appreciated. The hotel is also close to so many attractions and restaurants. It was super easy to get around and explore the city. Thank you for the great stay!!
