The Hotel Victoria was a pleasant surprise. When my 15 yr old daughter walked in she said it's the prettiest hotel room she's ever seen! We had a 2 queen bed room, which was quite large and we appreciated the hardwood floors as opposed to carpet... Makes it seem cleaner somehow. The shower had really good water pressure, nice comfortable...

This hotel is very handy for visiting sights, picking up the trolley-bus and with a good choice of nearby restaurants. A lot of sights are easily walkable e.g. CN Tower, waterfront, financial district etc. as is the main station - which was being renovated whilst we were there. The room we had was quite cramped, however, with narrow single beds,...

The hotel is in a great location - walking distance to the Eaton Centre, lake, bus terminal and many of the sights around town. The room was small but adequate. The bed was very comfy and allowed for a good night sleep. Some staff were helpful and others not as much. That would be the one thing I would say...

We stayed at this hotel for one evening while going to a concert. Location is very convenient for walking to Eatons centre, going for dinner and walking to the ACC all about 10 minutes away. Yes parking is extra ($39/per night) but was still cheaper in the end than any other hotel in the area. Yes rooms are dark during...

The hotel is clean and in a good location. It is however, very dark (all of the rooms seem to look out onto walls) and the shower was terrible. Staying in Downtown West

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown West
Downtown West is home to Toronto's gorgeous Inner Harbor, and is a must-visit for lovers of art and the outdoors. The area's rich cultural heritage is celebrated by a number of monuments and museums, giving the neighborhood a mature feel. As a premier destination for modern art, people here stroll through the cool contemporary pieces at the Power Plant, enjoy the outdoor installations along Queen's Quay and Canoe Landing, and picnic among the zany designs of the Toronto Music Garden. The waterfront itself is often suffused with bikers and joggers, and the harbor is always packed with classic ships with masts raised. The vintage boats and ferries to the Toronto Islands make for a charming contrast against Downtown West's backdrop of skyscrapers, condos, and food trucks serving up hot, fresh fare to locals on the go. The area has a peaceful energy, and is popular with tourists and Torontonians alike.
