Detailed Reviews
We only stayed one night - just for a show at the Meridian Centre. We tried to check in early and the front desk staff were more than accommodating!
Right from the beginning of our conversation, Tamara made us feel very welcome! She was friendly, warm and had such a wonderful personality. We joked and laughed about the fact that if we couldn't get into our room early, we might have to sleep in the lobby - until my husband asked if we could camp out on her couch!!!
Tamara was hilarious! Her laugh was infectious and she made us feel very welcome!
The room was small but cozy and clean - we really only needed a comfortable bed and a bathroom so that was all that mattered.
Thank you Tamara for being such a shining light and making us laugh!!!

Weekend trip for a show at the Royal Alexandra Theater. We love this location, tons of restaurants within walking distance. Eaton Centre area about 10 min walk. Walk to theater also 10 min. Easy check in with a delightful staff member. Rooms and bathrooms are tiny as with all hotels of this type, but when you're not there much who cares? We were also three adults so could manage sharing one small bathroom (full length mirror outside the bathroom helped). Mini fridge was an unexpected perk; due to small hotel, no ice on every level, have to go to basement - easy or someone from front desk will bring to you. We blew a fuse with hairdryer; a maintenance person came up within five minutes and problem solved. Sadly we forgot a pair of shoes in the closet; happily, hotel kindly accommodated and sent the shoes to us for $25. Love that service! There is no parking specifically at this hotel but there is a structure just around the block on Wellington St (Indigo Pkg Garage), for $30 (American) per night, AND lots of spaces for charging electric vehicles, a pleasant surprise. Would highly recommend this lovely place!

This hotel is a hidden gem. It states it’s a 3 star but I would regard it as a 4 star. Excellent staff and rooms in a superb location, quite close to Union Station.
Me and my girlfriend got off a flight with many many items of luggage and paperwork because we were moving to Canada.
Upon arriving we found out that we had been upgraded to a premium room free of charge. This was just what we needed with all our heavy bags and paperwork. Thanks for this it was really what we needed to hear. A very nice room and bed.
Thanks to the staff. We would stay again and will be recommending family stay here when they visit.
It is very close to very premium and expensive hotels but there is not much point staying there when you can stay in Hotel Victoria.

Horrible. I booked a room online and upon arrival after spending 30 minutes looking for parking because the hotel does not have parking that I will be moving hotels. Apparently they had overbooked rooms. The person at the front desk had a list of names of people they were sending away. The hotel had my phone number through the online booking yet made no attempt to call and let me know this in advance. They were not even going to cover the cost of a cab to get to the other hotel they were then sending me to. They wasted my time and money. I had already done a payment for the public parking I had to find only for it to be a waste because I had to drive to a new hotel. This was very unorganized and unprofessional. The hotel should have called me in advance to let me know I will not be staying there on their fault for overbooking rooms. I had plans that were in the area hence booking a hotel in that area just for my plans to be rearranged last minute because the hotel was unorganized and at last minute when I went to check in sent me to a completely different hotel. This was a horrible experience and never again will I be booking with this hotel. They have no respect for their customers time.

The hotel was NOT FULLY RENOVATED! Our room on the 6th floor was not looking like the photos. There was green/blue wallpaper in the room and the walls and the ceiling were dark blue!!! The bathroom was very small. I am 5’2 and I couldn’t sit straight on the toilet. I had to bend my body sideway every time I used the toilet. The room had only 2 dark red color bedside light and a weird lamp. Very dark overall. The tiny desk was painted black and blue and was dusty when we checked in. I had to wipe it down myself. The linens on the bed were not soft. The noise from the old window AC and the noise from the street (busy street downstairs) kept all my family awake the whole night. For the money we paid $400/night, it’s not worth it.

This boutique hotel was very nice. Everything was super clean. The room was a little small but fine for us since we were only staying one night. We were able to check in a little early which was nice. There is no parking but they directed us to a municipal lot a couple blocks away. We parked there overnight and paid about $38CAD when we left the next day, which from my understanding is pretty decent for downtown Toronto. It was nice to be right in the city and be in walking distance to a lot of things. Overall a great value, I would definitely stay here again.

Great location poor hotel.
The hotels location as great within walking distance of most if the tourist locations in Toronto.but the hotel look like it's been renovated on the cheap. Our door to our room you could see through the gap when closed as the lock was poorly fitted and you could hear when anyone walk in the corridor, our TV didn't work I asked the staff to fix it but they didn't fix it even though I asked repeatedly.wifi was poor.and we couldn't use the Aircon as it was like a jet engine in the room The room has poor lighting and very expensive for what is a very small room.
This place is best if you want a over night stay just sone where to sleep if you have been to a game or concert but not a long stay.no restaurant/breakfast facilities 2 star a best

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights…the location is very good with lots of eating joints, the metro station very close, access to the path, right in the financial district, st Lawrence market is walking distance etc. The hotel is a boutique hotel with a lot of history. Place is kept clean.
The downside is that the rooms were very small..the lighting in the room was very dim and made the rooms feel very depressing…the room didn’t have a full length mirror..the only mirror was above the bathroom sink…the towel holder in the bathroom was broken.
Overall the rooms need a lot of work…there are definitely better options nearby …maybe a few dollars more expensive but much better.

Stayed a few nights and it’s location is great absolutely amazing! Walked to scotiabank arena for ice hockey game, CN Tower, Ripleys Underwater World, St Lawrence Markets etc. Great cafe just down to he street. Room compact but big enough! Very clean! And for you Pokemon or Wizards Unite fans my avatar flitted between 3 Pokestops and a couple of inns.

The location of this hotel in downtown Toronto can't be beat. There are stores and restaurants and museums all around, and of course, the Lake isn't far. We were pleasantly surprised by how quiet our rooms were. (We stayed in two different rooms on two separate stays.) We didn't hear noise from adjacent rooms or the street. And the hotel is right on the Yonge street subway line. The rooms were perfectly clean. Many reviews of this hotel mention poor lighting in the rooms. The hotel must have added lamps recently because, with the lamps and the overhead light turned on, the lighting was certainly adequate. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful. But there were some drawbacks. The rooms are very small, and they don't include a chair. Neither of our rooms had a real chair, although the second one had a low leather stool. Not comfortable for sitting on. There's no fridge or microwave in the rooms. Also, there was no closet in either room. There was a metal rod about 12 inches long in a corner, with a few hangers on it. If you travel with a lot of clothes that you like to hang up, this hotel is not for you. The view out the window in both rooms was of a brick wall. Don't go to this hotel expecting views of downtown Toronto or the Lake. The elevator is very slow. And there was no restaurant or snack shop in the hotel, so we had to go out every morning for breakfast. But there are plenty of places for breakfast within a few blocks. All in all, the drawbacks are minor if you're going to Toronto to see the sights. Just be prepared for the limitations.

I don’t think they have shuttle
But I used Uber!
I know there was a free shuttle in town from to island airport that might be walking distance
Yes, you can. The hotel has a locked room right beside the front desk and you can leave your luggage there. We did the same thing. The staff at the hotel are wonderful and every time we have been there, it's been the same staff. That shows how nice it is for the employees to work there.
Thanks for the Question. As your fellow travelers have pointed out we do not have parking on site. However there are plenty of options nearby. They vary in cost according to proximity, i.e. the closer you are the more expensive.
Hope this helps!
Greg H
jsmittyj,
Apologies for the late reply. No there is no parking onsite, however as many of your fellow travelers have pointed out there are a number of lots nearby.
Best bet is to pull up in front into to the designated loading zone and store your bags with us, whilst snagging some directions and pricing information to the nearest lots.
Travel Safe!
Greg H
Good Day,
The rooms do not come equipped with a safe, however the reception desk does have a safe where items can be kept secured.
Hope this helps.
