The room was clean and well put together. Lights were not too bright and added a nice warmth and atmosphere to the room. Beds were soft and comfortable, as were the pillows. The TV was a little strange to use at first, but simple enough once you play around a bit.
Absolutely Lovely! Stayed last minute on 21st enroute from midwest to new england. Not cheap but not exorbitant, the hotel is lovely and our room pristine! We originally planned to break up drive in Niagara, but recent reviews seemed to point to staffing issues that were likely to be worse on a Saturday. After 12 hours in a car with broken A/C, the pool was a welcome respite. Its open 530am-11pm for ad hoc bookable 1 hr slots. Kids had no problem getting “passes” for 830 at night and were the only ones until their slot drew to a close. Pool seemed to have steady use but was also v clean. Room bathroom was great with a large soaker shower. Front desk staff super helpful too!! Location is grand- walked around Yorkville and it was hopping! (Crossed border at Sarnia-15 min wait that went smoothly)…
Stayed 2 nights with 2 kids in April. Close walking distance to everything. Self parking behind the hotel and saved quite a bit of $$. The room is pretty nice and clean. Love the Nespresso coffee machine. Bed is comfortable. My room doesn't have much view but it is fine. The swimming pool has 2 lanes but one of them is always being used by some swimming instructor for private swimming classes.
The hotel has a fabulous location, across from ROM and the U Toronto campus. Walkable to Yorkville Street and St George subway. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. Street side rooms have spectacular views of CN tower and downtown Toronto. The staff are friendly and helpful.
Great hotel Good location for university Few missing items in room that if included would make it better. No bottled water, no hand cream, no Q-tips cotton pads few basics for someone travelling light No fridge is also a real problem. They wanted extra $25 a night for a fridge!
I’ve stayed at this hotel for over 30 years when it was the Intercontinental. This time was not great. First the good. The restaurant is still first class in every way. The same chef is there from my long time visits. Highest quality food and service. Now the not good. The room was equipped with one facecloth for 2 people. Requested and got 2 after 2 requests. Same again second day. House phone never worked even though reported it 4 times. Blood was found on bathroom door and frame. Partial cleanup after 2 reports. Second time I asked room cleaner to do. Said she would even though it was someone else’s job. Got most of it but not all. Only 1 chair in the room so was difficult to eat room service. Rethinking future stays.
Valet offered an awesome tip to park my vehicle infront of the hotel with free parking saving me the $50 charge. Desk staff was friendly and courteous and the room service was fast and very well done.
We stayed here for 4 nights and loved the location for the ease of walkability to lots are areas of interest. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was bright and lovely. A little on the pricey side but it was in Yorkville which is great for restaurants and shopping but is an expensive part of town.
We enjoyed the staying at the hotel very much The room was clean, spacious, comfort and especially so the bed. The only down side was the lack of edaquet light. Breakfast was excellent and so was the service there
I was most pleased with the location of the hotel. Away from downtown Toronto but still close enough to get on the subway or walk to things quickly. The Yorkville area has lots of restaurants and shops so there was no need to go far for meals or to pick up things we needed. Our original flight was cancelled and we arrived 12 hours late around 1am. The hotel held our room until we got there. We reserved a junior suite and the room was spacious for two people. Heating and cooling was good and there was minimal noise. There was not a view from the room (it faced other buildings) but we didn't care, and the room had good sunlight. The beds were comfortable, there were plenty of outlets, the bathroom and shower were large and there was good water pressure. As some have mentioned there was no refrigerator in the room, which would have been nice. Also as mentioned, we had to ask for face cloths. The three elevators were busy a lot of the time but the wait was not excessive. The hotel definitely met our needs and expectations in most areas and I would stay here again.…
