We picked this hotel because when we wanted to stay in Toronto, there wasn’t much else available that didn’t break the bank. The ice hockey world cup was on as well as the Toronto International Film Festival which left limited accommodation options. We booked knowing that this is like a “pub” in Sydney and that the music would be going...

Stayed 2 nights here in a single room with private washroom. The live band in the jazz bar downstairs was heard inside my room until midnight. I was too tired after 10pm due to jetlag so it didn't bother me much. But it may not be so for you. Private washroom, a bed, cleanliness, a TV set, central location, good...

Looking for a hotel in a central location in Toronto that wasn't overly expensive was a bit of a challenge... I don't see the point paying out a lot when all I'll do is sleep in the room... but I wanted a central location. And then I found The Rex. Just a 15 minute walk from Union Station and right...

Midway between the train terminus and bus station to Niagara Falls. Located above the Rex Bar and music venue. We stayed a Saturday night and did not notice noise from the bar. Our room had a private bath and other rooms can be had with shared facilities at cheaper rates. The check in was easy and staff were accommodating to...

If you're looking for a budget, decent hotel, here is the place! Small but clean rooms at the very center of Toronto and the best possible location few meters from Osgoode metro station. Our room (double with a private bathroom) even though small, was quiet and more than ok for our needs. No fridge at the room and very very...

The Hilton this is not. But the price and location are the main selling points. We stayed here for 2 nights and we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see or take the streetcar. We had a room with own bathroom and shower. Small is the only way to describe it. Small room, small bathroom, small bed....

The Rex is a well known jazz club in Toronto with two floors of rooms above the jazz club. The noise from the jazz club does not permeate upwards so one can get a good nights sleep. The beverages, food and music are excellent. The room selections come with a shared or private bathroom. Street noise is a factor since...

This is not a fancy place- it is friendly, clean, and excellent value given the location, culture, and atmosphere! I highly recommend it to people who are not uptight. Yes- you can hear music- its above a world renowned Jazz Bar- that's kinda the point! Location is fantastic for any city exploration- steps to the subway and you can't get...

This is a value hotel and you get what you pay for. Location is very convenient if you mostly have to deal in downtown and plus you get the Jazz for total enjoyment. When we checked-in there was no separate hotel reception, instead you get your process done at the restaurant. This means wait time and more wait time if...

Relaxed atmosphere. popped in for a swift half a couple of times and enjoyed both the bands and the very chilled out vibe. Did,nt have any food but there,s always next time. A good place on a very good street.

Along with its great modernist museums, clubs, and restaurants, it's home to some of the funkiest specialty shops, ranging from clothing to stationary to collectables, and caters to niche and vintage shoppers of all kinds. That makes it a mecca for creatives, including hobbyists designers, writers, and painters. With ink on their hands and fabric pelts in their bags, visitors to Queen Street traverse the avant-garde blend of historic architecture and ultra-contemporary fare.
