I frequently travel to Toronto and have tried different accommodation options, Toronto Garden Inn is by far the best B&B in town. I stayed there for four nights. The room I stayed in was very spacious, comfortable and clean. You get lots of good channels on TV, my room also had a desk to do some work. The bathroom was...

Thoroughly enjoyed our night here. Clean and quaint. Really nice to get a good night sleep for a very reasonable price in downtown Toronto. Sick of being gouged by the big chains and this is the answer.

My husband and I spent a most recent weekend at this incredibly delightful bed and breakfast. Not only is this inn located in an excellent location to walk to many of Toronto's top attractions (10 to 20 minutes away), you just cannot beat its excellent price for accommodation. We stayed on the top floor in the impeccably clean Trillium suite...

It was one of the best experiences we had as travellers. The room was cozy, clean, and warm. The food was plentiful and delicious. The host was friendly, laid back, and very accommodating. Everything was taken care of quickly and we had zero problems. We would stay here again and highly recommend this place for anyone planning a trip to...

I stayed 2 nights in October in the inn's basement apartment. It has a kitchen, stove, microwave, fridge, kitchen table, private washroom with shower, desk, a tv, a comfy sofa and a cozy bed. The owners are really nice and helpful. Breakfast is included and there are gluten-free and dairy free options. It is a 10 min walk to the...

We had the Trillium room, on the top floor (no lift but help with cases given freely) which had a patio door leading to a personal decked (garden furniture) area with gazebo. Lovely airy space to enjoy after a day exploring the city. The tram stop is at end of street, but hotel is within walking distance of downtown. Another...

Summary - as this was our first time staying at a B&B, it took a little getting used to, but was nice. The price was definitely better than the major hotels in a large city. Do I prefer B&Bs now - No - but I can understand why some would prefer them. Our host, Miko, was very friendly and kind....

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
At the heart of Toronto, Downtown is the destination for cheap eats and fast fashion. Cut through by hip and trendy Yonge Street, the vibe here is young, with a strong student influence from the Ryerson University Campus. As a result, the Downtown area is always in flux: undergoing the construction of new facilities, with fresh retail spaces and pop-up cafes. Home to Toronto's largest indoor shopping mall, a number of vintage cinemas, and a healthy nightlife centered on the area's Distillery District bar and clubs near the East End, it's both an easygoing daytime spot and a popular party place after sunset. It also features some of Toronto's best outdoor landmarks, including Yonge-Dundas Square and the Nathan Phillips Square: perfect for a concert, a skate, or a relaxing sit-down.
