If you are looking for a home base while you attend events at the theatres or simply explore the countryside, this is a wonderful home away from home. It is conveniently located within walking distance to theatres, downtown shopping and great restaurants. Food is delicious and rooms are comfortable and well decorated. I entered the main house of the peaceful Old Rectory from the kitchen, where fresh buns filled the counter tops, and the scent told me that I was in a place of past, present and future memories. It was end of theatre season and I was asked to select a room. I chose one on the second floor w Juliette... More

Hospitality, comfort and fine food: You won't find better in Stafford or in most other places you may visit. And did I mention convenience? The Old Rectory is located only a few blocks from downtown and the main venues of the Stafford Festival. If you are theater-goers and don't mind a short stroll, that means a lot. It means you... Great food, comfortable rooms and gathering spots. Kim and Kevin are so welcoming and tied in to everything going on in town -- the best places, what's new, etc. It's like home, only ten times better.

We feel very relaxed and at home there, and being able to have a delicious dinner at the Old Rectory before heading out to the theatre... More

Like many others, we decided, based on tripadvisor reviews, to try The Old Rectory and we're very glad we did. First, it is in a very convenient location, within easy walking distance of all of the theatres and near lots of great restaurants. Second, the hosts, Kevin and Kim, are extremely warm and welcoming (they made us feel as if... More
