My husband and I spent an enjoyable weekend at Shady Nook while on a Stratford Festival weekend. The hosts are Molly and David. Molly is very friendly and welcoming and makes sure you have everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. David is the chef, and breakfast was delicious and ample: fruit scones, fruit salad, and main course...

Thank you Sheila for the review and for mentioning that David and I try to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It is always a learning experience and we try our best to make the stay away from home like home. I am pleased that you and Jim enjoyed my fruit salads as variety is a necessity when guests...

My mom and I love this B&B. Besides being close to all the theaters and several restaurants, Mollie and David always welcome us like family. The house is clean and cozy. The breakfasts are fantastic (especially the scones). Mollie and David are very accommodating and go out of their way to provide a great experience (I mentioned in a conversation...

Thank you Jodie and Jerilyn for returning and staying an extra night. This is how we get to learn more about you . I agree that "Guys and Dolls" was super. It is my pleasure to let you know about the events that may be happening at the same time as theatre in case you have time to fit extra...

My husband and I had a wonderful experience staying at The Shady Nook in Stratford, Ontario. The owners, David and Mollie, were delightful, and provided a warm and friendly environment. Our bedroom was lovely and very comfortable. We enjoyed a little downtime in the cozy living room, and woke up every morning to a delicious breakfast. Everything about The Shady...

We returned to Shady Nook after being at the Shaw Festival in 2015. We were again joined by dear friends from Palatine, Ill. We have been to Shady Nook several times in the past . Here are the top ten reasons to stay with Mollie and David: 1. Mollie and David are genuine folks who know Stratford and are well...

Hi Carl and Janice, The B&B is a perfect venue to meet great people like you as well as your lovely friends Donald and Barbara and when we are all genuine and in tune about life, and " how texting affects our children and grandchildren" , and we are honest about how important it is to read books, even though...

Hi Bob, Thanks for the review and enjoying the food and great scenery of Stratford and St. Mary's. I apologize for not asking about the temperature in the rooms as it is easy to tweak the vents and we can work on that on your next visit. Mollie and David

This is my second year staying at Shady Nook with the current owners. I had stayed there for over twenty years with the previous owners. As expected the choice was confirmed, very comfortable and satisfying and our group is booked same time next year.

Suzann it is an eclectic time when all of you arrive and share ideas about life and theatre and David and I are pleased that it is comfortable and satisfying as this would be an affirmation of our goal of " your home away from home". We will continue to do our best as you return each summer season. Mollie

We enjoyed our stay at the Shady Nook! A bit of a walk to the main Stratford area, but not too bad. You need a car to get to the Festival Theatre, especially for ladies in heels. The room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was really good and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. We like to stay...

During August, I came with two other couples to The Shady Nook and was welcomed by one of the most outgoing, informative, sociable owners of the B&B, Mollie.
