I called and the guy on the phone was as others say ; very grumpy attitude. I asked about the breakfast he said "we don't do that". When I said it was on his website he said the site is out of date and they haven't done breakfast last 3 years. WTH! From the sound of it this place is...

We booked this place by phone to camp with our RV for 2 nights, talked to the owner on the phone and quoted me $45 no electric hookup(have a genny) when we got there had to call him and wait for him to arrive, no "hello" no "welcome" a very gruff and un-welcoming individual. We were going to have dinner...

My girlfriends and I travelled from Toronto down to Pelee Island Aug 5 - 7, 2016 and as there were 5 of us were super happy to find a place with 5 bedrooms! The cottage was pretty bare-bones, but it was clean, the beds were comfy and it was right on the water! We did think there was a beach,...

I tried several times leaving vm with Anchor and Wheel to NO avail. Finally 5 days before we were to arrive there, Mark the owner answered the phone and said 'what do you want?' I explained number of calls, he really did not care and just replied See You. We got there on Aug 20 to a campground which was...

$50 night for 1 tent in a 'field' next to the road. WIth a 'bonus' picnic table that needed some serious love. Zero amenities (for example there wasn't even a garbage pail in the bath house or anywhere on site, nor recycling.) The owner, Mark was very rude on the phone and had no time to answer questions about his...

I have to say this was a disappointing place. One review here said it right if you like hunt camps this place is for you. They charge high prices in a bad atmosphere. We got the shrimp baskets, I have had more at a chip truck for less money. You had to pay for the water here as well, which...

we went to the restaurant from our B and B - a group of six. understaffed but understand its a limited population on the island. Food was ok but nothing special. Fried local fish was nice. The decor is eclectic. I could see it being really fun at times but was just ok. One of the few dining options on...

Mark is an amazing cook! I've been coming to the island for 2 years and had never stopped in. Now that I finally have, I'm kicking myself! The ahi tuna and crab dinners are to die for. (Psst try yhe frozen margarita) friendly service, charming decor, and air conditioning!!

We strolled into the Anchor and Wheel for dinner this past Saturday night. We were welcomed warmly to this nautically decorated restaurant. It only took a few minutes to realize this eatery was a regular for the locals, as they meander in. The food was outstanding. Freshly caught fish and mounts of harvested vegetables all prepared the way it should...
