Have been staying here for 5 years. Was a great hotel in ideal location. But my previous stay was soured by arriving to find 2 sports teams registering with a lone clerk. Planning ??? This time had booked ground floor room on line using points. Arrived and assigned 2nd floor room. Told ground floor cost more. It did get sorted by clerk who even called his boss. But after 7hour drive, I did not need the aggregatiot. And why do they insist on jamming an ugly wardrobe up against the bed. Not needed. The hotels only really good points are location and their great staff..

The hotel is located right off the highway (and is thus alongside the highway). If you have a room backing onto the highway, be mindful of that if you're sensitive to noise. (I personally had no issues with it.) I was greeted by a friendly, professional staff member while checking in who also very gently encouraged me to take advantage of local establishments that are now open but under COVID restrictions. The room, and hotel, were clean. No complaints. The wifi was strong, and there were no issues at all with the microwave, fridge, nor coffee-maker. The bed was comfortable and I had a great sleep. I did notice the shower head was roughly only 6 feet up, so anyone who's tall might bump their head or have to duck in order to use it. (The water pressure was fine, though.) The only other oddity I want to highlight was my ground-floor room had a sliding door at the 'back' of my room out onto the parking lot. While that's handy to load and unload luggage, given that it's a glass sliding door with a sliding door-type lock and bar (see attached pic), it may make some uncomfortable. That aside, I'd stay here again, and recommend it.

This property is very respectable from the entrance to our room to the dining room. The staff were very respectful and helpful. Our room was fresh and clean. We feel this location deserves a higher rating than it has previously qualified for!

The hotel is very basic, we had a ground level room with access to the parking lot. The carpets were all new and somewhat clean. Beds were fairly clean and comfortable. We found the stench of the room and even the hallway to be pretty gross. I actually had to put my diffuser on and buy a candle just to mask the smell. When the cleaning is going on during the day, garbage bags full of garbage and empty beer cans are left in the hallways for hours, which I’ve never seen before. In one of the stairwells there are about 6-8 strollers lining the landing. Not sure if there’s some sort of daycare going on in one of the rooms? Breakfast is basic, busy, as people will grab 3-4 plates at a time to bring back to their rooms. Not sure if there is some sort of monthly family rental agreement going on here. We won’t be returning to this property.

In nasty winter weather this is a great place to stay if going to a Senators game. Rates are reasonable, area quiet, staff are efficient, accommodating and friendly. They include a very good full breakfast until 10:00 am, and the breakfast room provides a friendly place to meet other hockey fans and rehash the game. The motel is a bit old, but well kept and very clean. Just down the street is a Mandarin Buffet for a wonderful pregame meal.
