This hotel (which is actually a student residence) is not really easy to find for someone not familiar with the area. The residence is behind the university - not really on main street. However, a security guard was more than happy to help us. Check-in was no problem, and the room was spacious, and had a small kitchenette. However, the...

When we got there to check in the front desk told us our reservation had been cancelled...Nice, by whom? NOT me!. She then said that they still had room..which was good because we didn't have another option lined up. I did like the set up though because the 4 of us could still be together instead of seperate hotel rooms....

This suite-type dormitory or residence hall with a kitchenette on St. Paul Univ. campus caught our attention. Even though the price per night was $30 more than advertised on most websites, it was still reasonable, so our 2-night stay turned into 4 nights. Street CONSTRUCTION in the area caused finding and leaving the place a nightmare. We had a rental...

Excellent for the price. My wife and I had a two bedroom apartment. Basic but very clean and and well maintained. We had free wifi and flat screen tv. The bus stop was literally two minutes walk for bus to the city and surrounding areas, excellent value at 8 dollars per day pass. Only small point is that there are...

I travelled with my three kids (one was a new born) and has to go for an embassy appointment. I arrived quite late and check in was a breeze. The double room was amazing and neat, so inviting and welcoming. My kids slept like babies they were. The only issues was the hair on the bed considering I had to...

my husband booked this for our weekend in Ottawa - we were both disappointed that it wasn't actually a hotel, but a university residence - the price was good - staff were very quiet and not engaging - our room was small but well laid out - keeping in mind it's a dorm room - overlooked the river, but to...

This place is a little non standard, but really nice and very affordable. We stayed in a family suite that had 2 bedrooms, each with a double or queen bed, a desk, and dresser. In between the two rooms is a small kitchen with a fridge, table and chairs and sink. I can't remember if you could cook, as we...

This hotel is for people who look for value as the rooms are simple and clean. It is in no way luxurious. However, the parking is free as is the wi-fi. We found the staff to be incredibly friendly and helpful. The Residence's location is quite close to the city centre - less than a 5 minute drive. Also, the...

We made a last minute decision to spend a couple of days at the Tim Horton's Brier in full swing at the TD Centre at Lansdowne Park. Our google search showed the only place within walking distance to be the Residence at Saint Paul University at what we viewed as an incredible bargain price for a central Ottawa hotel. Our...

Puts the M in modest, a former university dorm. Nothing fancy at all. Good for those on a tight budget. Clean. The 'downtown' part is not correct...it is an 8 minute drive to the downtown and way too long for walking. Hard to find as it is tucked away behind the University area, and not directly on Main Street. Good...
