We had a wonderful, safe and clean stay at the Andaz! Would have really liked to enjoy the hotel amenities if Covid had not caused havoc on the hotel industry... next time we will enjoy the vibe of this downtown hotel even more!
This hotel is perfectly located. The room is spacious and clean, we were lucky enough to be upgraded to a room with a view and the view was fantastic ! Since Ontario was on lockdown, it was nice to have the table and chairs to have dinner takeout in the comfort of our room. The front desk workers were always respectful and there to help us. We were able to visit the rooftop even though it was not open for drinks or meals. Our only complaint was that we were awoken at 3 am one night from a few teenagers partying and drinking on our floor, which is totally unacceptable. We advised reception right away and they took care of the issue. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone planning a getaway to Ottawa.
Very nice hotel with a fantastic view ! good location near everything you need, just a couple of minute from the parlement hill. Fantastic staff and all the place was real clean. The hotel is pretty new and all the places inside have a lot of style. Cost of the parking is good considaring the location.
This place has really gone downhill since the first time we visited 3 years ago. We come to Ottawa at least once a year and have always stayed at Andaz but this will be the last time ever. We have visited Andaz and hyatt hotels all over the world and this one is by far the worst now. It is a self proclaimed luxury hotel with no cleaning service unless you stay more than 3 nights. They blame covid for all of their lack of services which I feel is a huge cop out because other hotels are cleaning just fine. They used to include complimentary continental breakfast last year but now now they charge $15 a person. They wanted to charge me for water that used to be free. They tried to charge me for parking when I never parked here. When I asked the staff to adjust my bill they were fake friendly but offered no apology and seemed annoyed that I would ask. There is only ever one person at front desk even when there is a rush. 2 of the elevators are broken so we’ve had to wait at least 5-10 minutes and even up to 20 minutes when it gets busy. Brutal hotel. I will never stay at an Andaz again…
I had a great experience with Andaz by Hyatt. I will definitively come back and hopefully at that time the gym and the other amenities will be open. The hotel has an exceptional design with nice ambiance Very clean
