This is a true "Hermitage". The hosts offer pure Italian hospitality. We woke on our first morning listening to church bells chiming to Salve Maria. The views and vistas are spectacular. The breakfast is done well. With only six rooms this is a great way to begin your adventures in the region of Umbria. With the town of Spiletto closely...

This restored monastery toward the top of a very tall hill and at the end of a narrow road was worth very aspect of getting there. The location looks over the town of Spoleto and the historic significance of this property cannot be undervalued. Everywhere you look, you see evidence of its owners and distinguished guests. Staff superb, place immaculately...

Signore Valeria is a hostest with the mostest: the warm welcome as you enter her hotel makes you feel like a friend in her home. The hotel has a peace about it, not found in the mass hotels of the city and the history of the building, it's visitors and it's surroundings is fascinating. You will need a car to...

This is a magical place, the hotel sits on the side of a mountain where St Francis and St Anthony used to come and stay in meditation in one of the local caves. It is worth a visit to the top of the mountain, in the monastery, even if you do not stay at the hotel. Back to the hotel,...

Signora Valeria made our holiday in Spoleto unforgettable. We visited in August 2013 (sorry for late review!). I enjoy hotels that create an experience, and Eremo delle grazie was everything that you could want to experience in Umbria and Spoleto. The rooms are authentic in the style of the former monastery, but bathrooms are modern enough. My favorite was opening...

Seven of us who were on a Ducati motorcycle tour in Central Italy, stayed at Eremo delle Grazie and it was the highlight of our tour! In my years of travelling this must be one of the most difficult hotels to review. The location is stunning with a long terrace overlooking Spoleto and surrounding countryside. The building has a great deal of history and many of the communal rooms are dark with antiquities relating to its past. Because of this at times when no one was...

“The cardinal room was great, wonderful views, an ante room painted with grotto frescoes, a room with a couch, and a large bedroom. Good view but you have to open the shutters, and definitely furniture and decor are very antique.”
