People at the front desk were friendly and courteous. Room was okay. A little dated but clean. Beds were comfortable. Keurig coffee maker in room was a nice touch. TV worked fine. At times you could hear outside noises but that is to be expected when you have a room with a patio door to the parking area. Wifi worked could although you had to connect to it every time you left the hotel then came back.A little on the pricey side but it was convenient to where we were going.

Hotel's Favourite
We had a chance to stay at this Allure in June 2022. The facility itself is dated, but still comfortable. Our room was clean, which matters. Our check in was smooth and I can say that Kimberley made us feel both welcome and appreciated. For us that added service also counts. And that is the difference between a 3 and a 4 for me in this review. Thanks Kimberley!.

Most of the reviews online are poor, we had no choice but to use this hotel as part of a hockey tournament. Our room was not as dirty or smelly as others had indicated but it was outdated and in need of new carpet, no bathroom fans, no sprinklers, no modern conveniences ie. USB charging ports etc. The beds are all doubles, not queens so they are small. It wasn't terrible however. The WIFI was good when it worked, went down for a couple hours, I contacted to hotel regarding this, they pawned me off to a 1-800 number, they told me it was infact the hotels hardware that needed fixing, had to let the hotel know this, as if its my job. I run a business so connectivity is key. The pool was the coldest pool of any hotel I've stayed at, its clear they don't pay to heat it, perhaps 70-75 degrees at best, for that reason its not well used, at least for long. The health department shut down the hot tub (per the sign on it when we visited), the out door pool would be amazing but its closed and in need of a ton of repair, sauna not working. The owners need to do some serious updating to this property if they want to sustain business in the coming years, we would never return on our own. My son was a late ad on to the hockey team and we were not able to book under the "team" rate, we had to pay $40 more. They would not give us the same price as the rest of the team. On the final day (Sunday) I asked for a late check out as we wouldn't be back to the hotel until 12pm after the game and they refused to give me a later checkout and told me that they couldn't guarantee housekeeping wouldn't be in there. I told them I paid more than everyone else on the team, would be the least they could do for me, to no avail. We gave up and packed up early and left to avoid any further contact with them. I would have given them 3 stars had their employee been nicer regarding the request for a late check out. The hotel was full for the weekend, 100's of rooms to clean Sunday, I highly doubt they have 100's coming in Sunday to replace us all, I don't appreciate the ignorance of the employee I interacted with. In short, its clear this property is 30 years past its prime and little has been done to maintain its relevance to 2022 standards. My suggestion would be to avoid at all costs, park benches may be a better alternative than staying here.

Although reception and check in was good, it went down hill fast Our executive room was a handicapped room with arm rests on the toilet making it near impossible to use, shower was only luke warm, fire alarm went off two times in the middle of the night. When inquiring on reparations for such a crappy sleep, the receptionist with RBF was abrupt. Hard no to Allure.

I hate to leave poor reviews because often the variety of expectations that we all harbour and subsequent reviews can really affect a business that is trying to improve. I leave this review after delving into previous comments from late 2021 that indicated that other patrons had similar experiences to mine. And it was so unpleasant that I wanted others to consider this information. I booked into this hotel over Mothers Day weekend in adjoining rooms with my daughters, son in law and grandchildren. Staff was kind and friendly and I was able to bring my dog to stay with us. The bedding was clean. Other than that, the stay was very unpleasant. Upon arrival in the room there were wrappers on the floor of one room and it was quite stale smelling. The carpets were dated and appeared quite dirty. One screen door had a missing handle and lock and the door handle for the sliding glass door was broken. This became problematic when we had to sleep with the door open because of the reaction that four of us had when we turned on the the ac unit in the rooms. That system became unusable as a result of whatever was blowing out of it: we coughed for quite some time and had to sleep with the sliding door open in the room where the handle and locking mechanism was broken to clear the air. One drain in one of the bathrooms was visibly plugged with a large amount of hair. We didn’t notice this until the morning of our departure when my daughter was going to have a shower. The tub/shower in one bathroom and was in ok shape and cleaner so we used that one. I’m extremely disappointed in the stay. I did receive an apology for management saying that they would use the feedback to do better but they had that information from some guests in 2021 and clearly missed remedying these issues.

Rooms are fine- hallway carpets are rough. very limited amenities; restaurants permanently closed. No elevators for majority of hotel. Worst Gym and pool only open 8:30-9:30. How can you get on a pre work workout- Staff not flexible. We stay at many hotels and this is one of the worst specific to amenities and hours of gun / pool

Great check in and out, clean room, quiet, comfortable bed. These are the kinds of experiences I like to have. No muss no fuss. I remember when this place was a Holiday Inn, decades ago. The building must have good bones, because it's still around. Whoever took over is doing a great job.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times, as we have family in the area and our experience has always been good. The hotel staff is always friendly. The rooms, albeit slightly dated, are clean, well kept and the beds are very comfy! This hotel allows dogs (which we normally have with us, just not on this trip). We tried the restaurant in the hotel, Spynn for the first time and it was good. Our server Catherine was great. Very friendly and welcoming. The food was good, we all had nice meals, and there was something on the menu for everyone, a good selection of choices. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all (I was told they’d had a large function the day before), I was a little skeptical, but it turned out very nice and the added bonus of not having to drive across town in a busy city at night to a crowded restaurant.

We were here for a hockey tournament in Nov 2021. Upon check in I was personally over charged for my room when I questioned the girl at the front desk she claimed that she didn’t charge my credit card even though she totally did. She reluctantly checked the receipt and voided the initial charge. I understand accidents happen but when questioned she was not willing to check her mistakes until I demanded to see the transaction! There were BUGS in a few of our groups rooms, looked like fleas!, super GROSS. Every room was dated and dirty smelt of smoke, weed and urine. It appears that they were housing homeless people as we noticed many individuals in the hallways totally drunk and incoherent. The pool was freezing cold, dirty and appeared to be green! I would NOT recommend staying here! Over priced, dirty, bugs and absolutely DISGUSTING! Please do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else!

We stayed at this hotel for a hockey tournament last weekend and our room was dirty and smelt awful. We also found a cockroach in our room, shower had someone’s hair in it, we couldn’t adjust the water temperature in the shower… just to name a few issues. The area of the hotel we were in did not have an elevator. I had a playpen, a cooler, a stroller and other large items to bring up to our room. It was awful. The flooring in our bathroom had a loose tile, my 2 year old daughter tripped on that loose tile and hit her head on the toilet. She sported a black eye for the tournament. We reached out to the hotel manager with our concerns/complaints. Her response to us was « Well, we have only been open for 2 weeks now, what do you want us to do? ». I do NOT recommend this hotel!
