Truthfully, I struggle with online review sites. I don't think they're ever an accurate depiction of the space as a whole. We recently attended a wedding at Windermere House (beside The Baldwins) and we stayed at the Baldwins for 1 night. About a three minute walk home, which was great, as no one had to drive. Rooms were clean, grounds...

Couldn't ask for a nicer getaway, to the real Muskoka! Quiet, reasonably priced, great food, excellent service and friendly people. But, if you're looking for upscale, fancy, and urban trends, this place is probably not for you. My husband and I will be back, though, because we want a little bit of Muskoka in Muskoka, not a Toronto experience. A...

I've stayed in youth hostels which were cleaner and had better service. This place was so dirty I had to sleep with my shoes on. After one meal I couldn't eat there any more and just went to the hotel next door.

Just wanted to leave a favourable review as my family and I plan another getaway to The Baldwins. We always have a super time, beautiful countryside, beautiful lake dock to sit out on and where to swim and exceptional food! Couldn't ask for more. Reasonable rates for a great stay. Would recommend to anyone wanting a unique and quaint stay...

Great food, great accommodation and grounds, lots to do, and seven nights of wonderful sleeping bliss! Our resounding compliments to owners and staff, so kind, helpful, attentive and personable! We will recommend to everyone we know, to be sure!

Gordon Ramsey would be able to make the best episode of Hotel Hell ever at This "resort". I've stayed in hotels in the armpit of Uganda with better service. I shouldn't be given a lecture, by the owner, if I ask for more toilet paper.

Reading some of the other reviews, I am shocked! No other word for it. I must don't believe them...could they have the wrong place, were they just a family of complainers, and were they even telling the truth? Anyway, I had a very nice stay at The Baldwins and I would recommend it to anyone! The resort is clean, comfortable,...

Two-nights wasn't enough at this charming resort; simple, friendly, and a well-kept beautiful property on Lake Rosseau. My daughter and I sat on their dock, coffee in hand, and enjoyed our early mornings relaxing and reading. Food was delicious, service attentive, rooms comfortable, and we will be back for sure!

Don't know if this resort is for everyone, as it is quaint, in the country, laid-back, and simple, but it was perfect for our family. We took the kids for the weekend and really enjoyed it all, food, swimming, canoes, and even some tennis! Very reasonable rates, good value for the money. Will definitely be back.
