Stayed two nights - excellent location, well positioned in down town Pictou overlooking the harbour. Spacious clean rooms, well furnished with deep whirlpool tub and comfortable bed. Room was 2nd floor and overlooking harbour, room was a little tired, however size, furnishings and comfort were good. Internet and cable TV are standard, room also had fridge. A simple yet efficient...

This over 100 year old building was originally the Customs Building for the port. It has been well restored into a B&B and we enjoyed our stay on the second floor. Our host, Doug, made us feel welcome. We enjoyed the light continental breakfast in the basement level and had a lively discussion with other guests.

We spent a night here after getting off the ferry from Prince Edward Island. Doug was very helpful and easy to deal with. Or room was large with a comfy bed and a good bathroom with great water pressure. A good spot to stay in Pictou.

Wife and I stopped here for one night last week on our way back from touring Halifax and Cape Breton. I had read the previous reviews on trip advisor so I was not disappointed at all. It is a very unique place. It is nice to see that this solid old brick building has been reclaimed and put to good...

We were thrilled to stay in an old re-purposed Customs House! The building was so cool and the re-decorating was done SO well - incorporating the true feel of the original building with the newer aspects of the Inn. Doug was GREAT! He filled us in on the history of the building and the efforts to bring it back into...

Our room was huge! It had a fireplace and was quite clean. Easy walk to everything. Still very Scottish. Bagpipes and drums in many of the pubs. Fun. The Inn Keeper is a lovely man. No fluff and frills here. A huge tub and a hearty coffee with breakfast. No table to put things on in bath would be my...

Our stay at this great old building was for one night in September, and was booked online through another agent. The owners were contacted because we were to be arriving late, and they said that would be 'no problem,. We arrived around 11pm and our room key was taped to the door of the innkeeper which was great. The rooms...

This is a quiet and nice historic Inn located in the heart of Pictou (everything in walking distance). The rooms was big and well maintained - so was the bathroom. The breakfast in the basement (former pub) is OK but nothing fancy. We can recommend this place.

Quaint inn in a quiet area. Nice location for home base while exploring the surrounding area. Close to the ferry to P.E.I. Friendly staff. I recommend asking for rooms on the first floor if you prefer to not climb stairs. Easy walking distance to the downtown area with some nice shops and good restaurants.

Stayed here 2 nights. Don't be put off by the entry -- there's little in the way of a lobby. Splendid old Customs House. The rooms are beautifully decorated and spacious. Very quiet with views of the bay through the enormous windows. AC worked well but you wouldn't need it in cooler weather. Doug was a very pleasant host and...
