This inn may or may not be for you. If you are intrigued with the idea of staying in a large historical home with 12 foot high ceilings, a delightful storybook looking library, stories of a friendly ghost who sometimes makes an appearance, and a pleasant and animated inkeeper who serves breakfast in a bright a cheery dining room, then...

We stayed one night and had a clean and comfortable room on the second floor (above the lobby floor). It was a bit of chore to bring our luggage up the two flights of steps, but not unreasonable. Our room was large and the bed was comfortable. Sam was a friendly host and we enjoyed visiting with her to learn...

We stayed one night in this wonderful old building in the center of Pictou. There is no elevator, and the main office is up one flight. All 10 rooms are up on higher floors, so watch out if you can't do stairs. That said, our room was a little shy of luxurious, but totally fit our needs....large, high ceilings, view...

Other than the climb up to the 3rd floor, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Inn. Sam, and her lovely dog made us very welcome. The continental breakfast was really great, especially the home made granola. The dining room is beautiful and we were introduced to everyone who entered for breakfast. Our room was clean and quite comfortable. We...

My son, Alex, and I spent one night at the Auberge-Walker Inn on August 31, 2012. We had wonderful time, and Sam is a top-notch hostess. Alex isn't a big fan of B & B's (normally, neither am I), but our collective Auberge-Walker Inn experiences was delightful from start to finish. The decor is simple and cheery, the rooms are...

I booked this BnB based on the reviews. I was not disappointed. Sam, the inn-keeper, is welcoming and willing to give recommendations. The rooms are well kept and very comfortable. We were in a room on the third floor. Be advised there is not an elevator in the building, as this is an old inn. No problems for us -...

We booked this last minute on our trip home from Nova Scotia. Sam (the owner) was very hospitable, and we very much enjoyed our quick overnight stay in Pictou. There is a delicous pizzeria accross the street, a fun pub another block away, as well as the waterfront which is just a little further. The rooms were basic and very...

We try to find a good balance between cost and services so we had a look through the local guide book and made a few cold calls when we arrived in Pictou. The Auberge Walker seemed like a good place, the price was decent, and the person on the phone was very helpful and pleasant. If I remember correctly it...
