I did love this hotel, very elegant where everything is kept in a old fashion way but very clean and functional. Position is good because it's in between Pier 21 and city center. The staff is nice and helpfull and breakfast very good. Nice even for a romantic weekend. Having a good quality/price I can only recomend this hotel for...

The moment we stepped into the Waverly we felt relaxed and comfortable. The setting is very romantic and beautiful. We would have loved to spend a week or more there but unfortunately we were on a tight scheduled and were only able to stay one night. Everything about the Inn was amazing! The beds were comfortable, the service excellent and...

This is a romantic spot. It is right in downtown Halifax, close to all the restaurants and theaters etc. Café Chianti is located right across the street for a tasty meal. The inn is such a stately old home with a beautiful grand staircase and sitting area. Each room is unique. I have stayed in a few rooms and my...

Wonderful experience, substantially beyond expectations, great location, charming Inn filled with authentic decor, and staffed by people who took pride in their surroundings. This the type of Inn for those who prefer the "real deal" in lieu of the glossy facade of the "chains". Well done to everyone at the Waverley Inn - our weekend adventure to Halifax was great...

We were WOWED by the Waverley Inn conveniently located in downtown Halifax. As soon as we stepped into the hallway for check-in, we felt like we were back in the time of Oscar Wilde and John Vanderbilt, yet with a modern touch. The decor is filled with opulent Victorian antiques, crystal chandeliers, stained glass windows, and high airy ceilings. The...

We stayed three nights at the Waverley Inn and found it clean, comfortable and centrally located in Halifax. If you have mobility issues or very heavy luggage try to get a room on the lower floors. There is no elevator. Breakfast buffet was average, nothing special and had to ask each morning for the staff to refill the fresh fruit...

Waverley Inn was a great inn and I would certainly stay here again. The location is perfect and is within a 10 minute walk to everything downtown Halifax has to offer. Upon check in the nice young man at the counter (always dressed in a nice brightly coloured shirt) was of excellent help for pub, restaurant and attraction suggestions and...

Our stay at the Waverley was very pleasant. Not a large room but quite adequate. We did not experience noise from the street - we had a side room. The buiding was so much more interesting than a cookie cutter type of modern hotel.Breakfast was adequate - a few more improvements could be made in order to bring the standard...
