My husband, 13, 11 and 10 year and myself stayed 3 nights in the Felicity cottage. What a beauty! The view and quiet was exactly what we needed after a hectic summer. So glad we got to experience this place and Digby on a tour of the East Coast. The cottage was beyond equipped with all the linens and kitchen...

Prosperous 2017 wishes going out to you. We are so glad you were able to find everything needed for a family of 5 in the cottage. Isn't it wonderful to discover just how much electric power is not needed but used. Spending family time playing cards or board games can make for wonderful memories. I am sorry you had to...

What a find. Just four unique and beautiful-appointed cottages. We stayed two nights in the solace cottage and enloyed it very much. The cottage was fully equipped with all you need including a BBQ outside on the patio. Everything was very clean and the view from the deck was amazing. Very quiet and secluded. No TV and no WiFi which...

It is so nice to read your review of our cottages. Our guests like the fact the cottages are not to close together offering more privacy and making it feel more like your own. There is always time to relax but still travel (not to far) to see the many historic and cultural sites in the area. We are hoping...

My Husband and I took his elderly parents to Graham's Pioneer Retreat for four days in September. They enjoyed this place so much, being in their 80's we were not sure they would but the days went by so fast and we saw so much, Brier Island, Long Island, Annapolis Gardens, the German Restaurant, gift shops, and the Bear River...

We enjoyed meeting you all. The cottages are a wonderful place to return to after a day of site seeing the many places and things in our area. A short drive will take you to many wonders that will captivate you. We are so happy you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you all again.

The Graham's Pioneer Retreat is the place! A lovely location on the neck of Digby, Nova Scotia facing the bay, it is nicely placed to get to a lot of site-seeing spots but when you come back to a lovely hidden cottage for complete private time from others, it's like heaven. The Graham's hospitality is kind a generous and Hubby...

Thank you so much for your kind words. From the cottages you can do so many day trips but like you know it is always nice to come back to your cottage for some private time. We hope to see you again soon. We didn't get in many bonfires this summer. The weather was just to dry. Maybe next time....

The most peaceful & relaxing place to visit. The cottage "Solace" where we stayed, is so beautiful, very clean & had everything we needed. The deck & gazebo overlooked the beautiful bay. In the mornings we awoke to a gorgeous sunrise. Because of our timing we were able to see the full moon, which made the water sparkle. We got...

We named the cottages Tranquility, Serenity, Felicity, and Solace to reflect the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere of the beach area. We are happy you found everything you needed in the cottage to help make your stay less stressful. Your pictures are wonderful and the one of the full moon over the bay is spectacular. It is always an experience driving...

We had a wonderful stay at Graham's Pioneer Retreat, earlier this week. My husband and I had three small children with us, and it was so nice to be "away from it all." The cottage was spacious, clean, and had everything that we needed. A quick walk down the hill and we were at the private rocky beach, which was...

Thank you tmac222016 for taking the time to tell about your stay with us. Isn't it nice to sit around a table and play games or cards again. To be able to spend that kind of quality time with the family without electronics playing a major role. It is almost like camping (lanterns) with all the comforts of home. Maybe...

Almost annually, myself and 3-5 other girlfriends get together for a "girls escape". We rent a cottage to wine, dine, relax, and rest for a few days most summers. This year we chose Graham's Pioneer Retreat. I had met Linda a few weeks before we booked and though she was lovely :) Chatted with the girls, found some available nights...

Angela it was a pleasure seeing you again and meeting your friends. "Serenity Sisters" what a great name for the group no matter where you stay on your little "Escape". I know it seems a little scary at first, about the generator, but once you see how easy it is everything is fine. Dave and I are so happy that...

We stayed in one got three self sustaining cabins. Sounds too rustic... Don't believe it. We had a fully equipped kitchen all the hot water you would need or want. Thecde It sounds like you and friends had a wonderful time. The driftwood that the tide brings in keeps our bonfires going all summer for free. There is no cost for bonfire wood. This summer though we did have a fire ban in place. Night after night to be able to sit or lay down to watch the dark-night sky...
