My sister and I travel to the south shore every summer because we love it there and we always stay in B& B's. The Bread and Roses was by far the best we have stayed in. The historic inn was beautiful and the hosts Jim and Gaya were wonderful. The room was very roomy and comfortable, the shower excellent and...

This historical B and B was spacious, comfortable, and quite. The owners Jim and Gaya were gracious and knowledgeable about the area. They went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. The breakfasts had plenty of options for those with dietary needs. I particularly enjoyed the freshly made veggie/fruit juice offered with just a hint of ginger. Our room...

We recently stayed for two nights at this lovely B&B. It was our first and only time staying at a B&B as a family on our east coast trip, and we were not sure whether the room would work for us. From the moment we arrived Jim & Gaya made us feel completely welcome. We stayed on the main floor...

Annapolis Royal is so beautiful and so is the home of Jim and Gail, that they graciously open to travellers. Excellent accommodation with 3rd floor lift with 2 comfy double beds. Beautifully maintained home built in 1800. Many original mouldings and fixtures. Brkfst was superb...bacon, eggs, toast, fruit, yogurt and scones to die for. Homemade jam and juice topped it...

The most outstanding thing about this exceptional bed-and-breakfast was our hosts Jim and Gaya. They made our stay so pleasant, from the lovely room with such a comfortable bed, to the yummy breakfasts and fun chats with other guests and Jim, and strolls in the garden after a noisy day rehearsing at Bandfest. Can't wait to come back another year!...

We are whimsical travellers and decided to stay in Annapolis Royal after road tripping around the province and exploring. Check in was straight forward and no fuss. We generally prefer less intimate/formal accommodation options; but this was a fun experience for a night; as the home has a lot of history and has been well cared for over the years....

We've stayed in numerous B&B's and the Bread and Roses has been the best. Our hosts, Jim and Gaya could not have been more pleasant and hospitable .They were very helpful when we asked them where to explore and although we got lost a few times (our own fault) we had a great time.

Been guests of Jim and Gaya several times. By far the best B and B experiences we have ever had. Accommodations are beautiful conversations with Jim and Gaya and their guests have been ultra pleasant. Their dining and sightseeing suggestions always hit the mark.

Upon arrival I realized I was a day earlier than my actual reservation, but luckily our room was available and our host made the two night adjustment. The inn itself is jaw droppingly lovely, like stepping into a byegone era of elegance. Our room (5) was in the front highest window, the third floor. Spacious and light, comfortable a/c on...

First impressions were not too favourable...there was no offer of a cup of tea even though we had been travelling....though the lady of the house did make one when asked. The furnishings throughout were antiques...but I did not get the impression we were particularly welcome. Breakfast was very uninspiring...fruit salad was nice but the rest was take it or leave...
