There were so many rules - from how to close the front door to how to eat to where to stand when waiting to enter the dining room - that I could not relax. The innkeeper told us so much about previous tenants - that she didn't like - that I wondered why she was in the business. The breakfast...

After visiting here in 2012 I had to return. My fiancé and I spent 2 nights over Canada Day weekend and immensely enjoyed ourselves. We arrived to see Faith excitedly waiting for us outside and was greeted by name. She had remembered me, and honored my return with a rate discount. Breakfast is a healthy choice and sits well for...

I spent a charming visit here & learned all about how to behave at a Victorian table. It's in a great location with an easy walk to restaurants & historic sites. It all began with a warm welcome from the hostess, Faith, making sure I parked my motorbike safely for the night. The Inn is lovely & my 1st floor...

I'll start with the accommodation first! It's a beautiful house. We stayed in a large room with a large bed, and even larger bathroom. We had access to a water cooler that also dispenses hot water for tea if needed, there's a small fridge we could use to chill snacks/drinks. Bedding was comfortable, ample towels provided, wifi and TV in...

The positives ...The town is pretty, the Inn is in a good location; the property is impressive and the décor ornate to the point of overkill, the rooms are well equipped if overfurnished. The negative... the hostess was just plain odd. I have never been told off for not wiping my feet, for allowing a door to slam and for...

The house is beautiful, however the hostess was very wierd. She told us not to wear parfume, she commanded us how to eat, how to open and close the door. She complained about previous guests... The breakfast was quite poor and we got rotten juice. And the internet was so slow!

The manager of the Inn has been doing this a long time and obviously likes her job. She has a vibrant personality so if you prefer a host who is more reserved this is not the place for you. I found her helpful, funny and efficient. She gave me a discounted price because I was by myself. I stayed one...

If you have scanned other reviews of this hotel, you will find that guests' impressions turn around their opinion of hostess Faith. The inn is great: nice amenities, great location near the center of everything, comfort, and good prices. I have a hard time recommending this inn, however, because I feel, on balance, that Faith's need to control guests' behavior...

We stayed at the Inn for 2 nights. What a wonderful old Victorian house that has been renovated to be very comfortable for guests. Faith the innkeeper is very helpful with recommendations for places to eat and things to do, and is willing to help with any requests from guests (as well as instructions about Victorian eating etiquette). Very enjoyable...

The Inn is in an old Victorian house which in itself has character so some work around the place is required but that aside, the Innkeeper completes the picture. Very friendly and helpful, wanting to ensure all guests are content and have knowledge of the area. The garden, Fort and places to eat are within walking distance which was nice...
