While travelling in Nova Scotia in July you will the rates can be expensive. Well we found a gem we had visited when our children were small and I can't believe the changes in this place. If you hate being locked in a hotel room with a window that doesn't open then this is the place for you. Yes the...

Like walking into 1970 - 80's hotel. Staff however was great trying and succeeding to accommodate our request. A bit pricey, this is only full service hotel in the area with lots of parking and good restaurant.

As soon as we entered all we could smell was mould. It was worse in our room. Which was basically still in the 70s. The pool area was frightening. All the windows and doors leading to it were covered with a thick layer of mildew and it was carpet. The carpet was already soaked through so we had to squish...

The name 'Old Orchard Inn' says a lot. We were there for a wedding in July and this hotel clearly has not been updated since it was built. Perhaps the owners wish to keep the hotel in that style. Some of the rooms from our group did appear to have rooms that had been refreshed, but most were quite dated....

I was taught as a child not to judge a book by its cover..... Of course there's always an exception; this is certainly one of those. Likewise, I try to find positive things to say about anything, but I'm really struggling. My wife and I stayed here in mid July 2015 for a 2 night stay. Perhaps we've been spoilt...

The Hotel looks OK on the outside. The pool area is fine. Old and run down, they added a hot tub which made it better to watch the kids. Beds and bath were clean. Price was high, buts it's July. Brough donuts from Tim's, left them on the dresser, the next morning, they were covered in ants, not the filthiest...

On arrival at the hotel, I was surprised at how old, dated, run down and 'motel like' it looked. I hopped the inside was going to be better but wow, I was in for a shock! The smell that met me at reception was unbearable....musty, smoky and so overpowering. The staff (with exception to one cleaner I spoke to) were...

Went there for a Meeting and booked a cabin in the back of the Hotel. It was very quaint. You could hear the birds singing in the morning. Was grateful for the air conditioning as it was very hot the three days we were there. The bed was very comfortable and the room clean. A step to get up to...

We stayed there one night en route to The Cabot Trail. The staff were lovely and welcoming. There are no elevators in the building which might pose a problem for some. Our room was quite dated especially the bathroom which looked like it was from the 1970's. Not bad water pressure for showering but the temperature kept fluctuating up and...

We stayed one night at one of the cabins and thoroughly enjoyed it. The cabins are built quite closely together, but there was no one on each side of us, so it was pretty quiet. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the lawn chairs and ejoying the sunshine :) The only thing that could have made this better was some...
