Stayed here travelling through YK and I said I would not stay here again. The room was ok but had one of those portable air conditioners but vented through a big hose out the window? It was weird. I sat out waiting for a cab and was pestered by people asking for smokes, I've stayed in many YK hotels but...

The bed at the Capital Suites is just as nice as The Explorer. In fact, it looks exactly the same bedding wise. The room is T I N Y. The window is very small and up quite high. There is a retro A/C unit that has been fitted with and exhaust tube out the window. Sounds funky? Yeah, but you're...

Check in- lady was quite rude, not sure if overwhelmed but very aloof. Decor- has been updated but very thin, noisy floors, walls, insulation. Was very hard to sleep. Room- tiny, cramped, very noisy, portable air conditioner useful for heat but you can't sleep because it roars. No restaurant on site- area around is lively at night making it very...

Free hotel shuttle serves several hotels, so sometimes a bit of a wait or a longer trip. Hotel is on the old side, but parts have been renovated. We had a standard room, which is a double. There are suites with a living room and kitchenette, which looked very nice. Stand alone air-conditioner unit worked well but vented to a...

This hotel is good value but it is still under renovation so you should be prepared to hear construction work going on after mid morning. I stayed here because I found a super low rate on a web site linked to tripadivsor. I did not have a suite but stayed in a studio and would not have any problems staying...

This place was disappointing, considering the ok reviews. Room felt small and claustrophobic. Room was clean, but not well maintained - the bathroom was subject to some poorly done repairs to baseboards, etc. The hotel is across the street from a run-down townhouse complex. Music and partying went on there until 2 am; maybe a room on the other side...

Stayed here for 18 days when I first moved to Yellowknife. The fellow at the front desk made my stay enjoyable. He was a great help to me. The room I was in was overheated, and the window screen was torn. Prior to checking out I took a look at my bill and discovered that no one could do basic...

I stayed here two nights while travelling to Yellowknife for business. The hotel is undergoing renovations so be prepared for early morning noise. The hotel should be able to tell you when theses renovations are scheduled to be completed. In the two nights I stayed, there were 3 false fire alarms somehow originated by the construction crew. It was very...

The week I stayed here was one of my worst experience. I was suddenly woken by a series of great bangs in 7:30 in the morning. I was told that the hotel was under renovation and construction starts from 9:00 am to 17:00 and I have to bear it. As I was not told in advance before booking, I requested...
