This is a high quality B&B, run with obvious care. The interior is very well-appointed and imparts what the home may have been like when occupied by St. John's one-time mayor. The proprietor, Earl, and his staff provide top-notch service. The breakfast choices are exemplary. Be aware that some of the rooms are on the walk-up third floor. This was...

We spent the last 2 nights of our trip at the Rendell - Shea Manor. The house is beautiful. The owner Earl had everything extremely well organized for our initial check in. The manor is stunning in its history and beauty. We had a spacious room with all the amenities. The Manor is located a short walk to the downtown...

This historic B&B mansion is ideal situated to take advantage of all St. John's offers! The rooms are cozy with all the amenities and the breakfasts were delicious. Earl was eager to help us with suggestions on sight-seeing and was a truly gracious host! A great B&B experience.

A beautiful historic bed and breakfast in the heart of St. John's. Situated adjacent to jelly bean row housing, literally minutes to downtown. Close to Signal hill, Quidi Vidi, restaurants and sights. Earl was super accommodating for my wife's celiac diet. Food was great. Bed was super comfortable. Overall a great stay.

This hotel is in the perfect location for exploring St John's. It's in a quiet residential road, within easy walking distance of bars and restaurants. It was nice to have the communal rooms with tea, coffee etc always available, and breakfasts round the communal table were fun. We had the room on the main/ground floor - it was a bit...

My wife and I stayed in the Margaret Rendell room. It was the beginning of our 12 day adventure in Newfoundland. I can say without reservation that the breakfasts we had during our 5 day stay here were excellent and filing. We never needed to eat lunch which saved money for dinner and drinks. :) The B&B is a gorgeous...

Large beautiful bed room with nice bath. Friendly helpful staff. Best breakfast we have had at a B&B. Convenient to downtown area and my wife had no problem hiking to signal hill from the hotel. The airport is about a 15 minute drive and the Rendell-Shea was easy to find. It is also a short walk to The Rooms and...

We were to have stayed in a one-bedroom (exposed brick) condo overlooking the harbour; however, there was some complication with the reservation and we ended up in another condo; unbeknownst to us that this condo was not in the same location. This two-bedroom unit was very nice (well furnished), bright, clean and unique as it was an old house divided...

Hello Tina, Thank you for your feedback on our apartment at 158 Patrick Street. I’m surprised that you found Patrick Street to be –not downtown- since Patrick Street is one of the oldest downtown neighborhoods in the city. If you Google Map the walking distance from 158 Patrick Street to any address on George Street, the distance is 9 minutes...

We stayed at the Rendall Shea for three nights. It is an ideal location to walk anywhere in old St. John's. The rooms are lovely - spacious for a couple and amazingly quiet for an older home. Earl was a gracious host with lots of information on restaurants and what to see. Every suggestion was spot on! The tea room...

My wife and I spent one night in June at the Rendell-Shea Manor. The location is within walking distance of the action on Water and George Streets but can seem a little far on a chilly night. The B and B is beautiful and brimming with character. Our room was on the top floor (3rd) but we were lucky we...

The Rendell Shea Manor is a Heritage Home located in the Historic East End of St. John's. This is one of the best areas downtown to walk the city. There are local cafés, craft stores, restaurants and local Pubs. We are within minutes walk of Signal Hill, The Rooms, The Battery, George Street and the Harbor front. Afternoon coffee and tea are available in our sunroom or on our covered deck. The Rendell Shea Home has retained most of it's original period character.
