This hotel is a great spot. Honestly the perfect location to explore St.John's downtown and experience the nightlight. The hotel itself is only about a five minute walk from George St so taxi's aren't even necessary. The walk down water street, specially when the weather is nice, is wonderful. The rooms are also very nice. I stayed in a room...

This hotel has two things going for it Charm (exposed bricks), Cheap. You know what they say you get what you pay for, well in this case it is TRUE!!!!! We were met at the entrance by some guy who did not introduce himself, I asked if this is the Franklin and he said yes, whats your name, when told...

Hi, I had a reservation at the Franklin hotel from October 6 - 10, 2016 unfortunately I had to cancel my reservations due to unforeseen circumstance and unfortunately I did not give the hotel 24 hour notice which I understand having to pay the first night maybe even the second night however the hotel charged me for the entire stay...

I was pretty disappointed with this hotel. First, the good: the location is excellent, right in the centre of town. The price was one of the lowest I could find downtown for a commercial hotel. The shower was wonderful - huge and with a great rain showerhead. The bed was comfortable. However, I was disappointed with the contents of the...

It was a great hotel for my family and I. The owner, John, helped us with anything we needed. I would definitely recommend booking, everything is in walking distance which helps save money on taxis. Also there is a restaurant in the lobby that is very good.

We just left the Franklin where we stayed for two nights. It is above a bar with a separate entrance. This was the perfect hotel for us as it was close to George Street, downtown and lots of cool bars and shops. Parking was easily found on Duckworth Street and was affordable. The rooms were clean, had character and very...

Initial impression was very pleasing with exposed brick and big screen TV. This is a refurbished historic hotel and nicely done. All was good until bedtime and then noticed there was no top sheet. When I asked housekeeping for one they said they have not been providing this for over a year!! How unsanitary! Unacceptable.

Though it has no 24 hour front desk, the Franklin Hotel is warm and friendly. All staff were very willing and eager to please. Calls during the day and evening were answered and forwarded to my room. Bed was very comfortable, room was large. TV should have been angled downward for better viewing, but reception was good, and provided 50...

It's not really a hotel, more of a restaurant with rooms, but it doesn't matter. It is centrally located and close to everything. The rooms are modern, clean, fresh with large windows, great beds and good bathrooms. The manager Shen was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Whilst there was no breakfast, there were multiple places very close...

Large windows. Great light. Clean. Comfy bed. A block from the water. Quiet. Wi-fi easy. Reading lights at bedside. Clean, modern look and feel. Great shower. No tub. No elevators. In the heart of downtown. Easy walk to restaurants, The Rooms, Signal Hill. Close to morning coffee but you need to go out of the hotel to get it. Bar...
