The breakfast was absolutely amazing. Everyone raved about it. The service was impeccable. They easily accommodated my gluten-free vegetarian requirements with delicious options. The house is lovely, and only a couple of blocks from the city centre. Thanks so much, Carl and Jim!!

It was an absolute pleasure to have NBCC use our facility in it's valuable work to support the development of local entrepreneurs. We are glad to hear that we were able to provide you with breakfast options and a space that met the needs of your meeting. We look forward to other opportunities to build upon our relationship. Our room was on the bottom floor, the handicapped-accessible - so easy in and out. Jim and Carl bent over backwards to help us with non-functioning Verizon phones - we called home (CA) and received a return call later. Looked up Halifax info for us to get a temp phone. Helped us book our ferry crossing to Nova Scotia (Digby)...

My wife and I were touring my homeland of eastern Canada in September 2016 and after a couple fatal errors with hotel bookings in St. John (that is another story), I ended up (reluctantly) staying at this bed and breakfast as I had never stayed at one before. Much to my surprise, the house and stay were magnificent, and we...

Full wonderful breakfast including local blueberry jam. Parking, clean, pretty decent bed. Nice location an easy walk to a lobster pound, historic parks, market hall, restaurants. Would have loved a tea kettle in afternoon though.

Good morning and thank you for your recent stay and sharing your experience on Trip Advisor. Glad you enjoyed your stay. Silhouette room is quite comfortable although smaller in size. The foot board can be an issue if over 6'. We often prepare beverages for people - tea, coffee, juice - upon request. Never a problem. Hope we have another...

Our hosts could not have been more accommodating! So helpful and friendly. We were taking an early ferry to Digby, NS, and they accommodated us with a delicious early breakfast. They served healthy blueberry pancakes, their own recipe, with a choice of maple syrup and several wonderful homemade jams. Yum! Rooms very clean and nicely appointed with antiques. We thoroughly...

Jim and Carl have this house into a gem among bed and breakfasts. It is impeccable and at the same time homey. There are great advocates of their city and what it has to offer the visitor. And how many places let you do their laundry and have a massage therapist (Carl) living there and a cat that was in...

Special thanks to Jim & Carl for sharing their beautiful home with us. Germain St is in a heritage listed area and easy walk to the waterfront and the city centre with restaurants close by. We had little time to spend in either Saint John or at this B + B....and yet, we were impressed from the first femtosecond we met our hosts. First, the home is beautiful, stately, interesting, and meticulously cared for. Great period pieces, stained glass windows, a dramatic winding staircase, multiple sitting rooms. When you enter the house, you enter another...

Firstly, Carl and Jim are both such gracious hosts and with lots of info to share. Both were very nice to have thought about our toddler daughter by switching some rooms around so we could access the bathroom with a tub. The bedroom was abit on the small side which makes me think that it would have been better for...
