I stayed at the Savoy Arms for two weeks several years ago. At first Bill and Jean seemed very kind and very friendly. They liked to sit and talk in the evening. They were adamant that I had to predict the exact time I might want breakfast in the morning, which I found strange, but they did seem nice. The...

this was not a welcoming stay. the service was not up to par; Jean was unable to make eggs for us in the morning. she initially offered it then stated that she simply could not do it. regardless we had to walk up at precisely 8am for a continental style breakfast, which was an unnecessary inconvenience. despite being booked two...

We were at the Inn to be close to our daughter studying at the university. Jean and Bill were exceptionally kind, offering to help us in any way, and also extending that offer to our daughter for the coming school year. Breakfast was delicious and the conversation lovely. We'll be back.

This is our third visit. And the hosts remember what you drink for breakfast, when you like to eat, and what your interests are. The egg dish at breakfast is always interesting, tasty and satisfying -- unlike the cold buffets I have experienced elsewhere. Their greeting is invariably friendly, their instructions on the layout are clear, and their provision of...

We had a lovely bright comfortable room, a generous and delicious breakfast and helpful hosts. The proprieters went above and beyond expectations to meet our needs and took time to answer questions we had about the area. We would happily stay there again.

This was the most unpleasant stay I have had in my many years of traveling. The house itself is fine but the owners (especially Gene) are rude and not hospitable to guests unless you follow all of their strict rules. Be sure to not be even 5 minutes late for breakfast or you will receive a lecture. I would not...

This was a simply appalling experience. The owners were rude to me as soon as I walked in the front door, and continued to be extraordinarily unpleasant the next morning as well, for no apparent reason. Breakfast was OK but blighted by the waves of hostility coming from the owners. Entirely typical of this unfriendly Canadian village where it's a...
