We stayed at The Columns for three nights in January, 2017 and had a fantastic experience. We would advise everyone that this place is "as advertised"- and maybe better! The house is beautiful, with dark wood trim and floors throughout and very well-kept and clean. Our room was spacious and had a comfy, large bed (with plenty of covers/blankets and...

We are dedicated "B&B'ers" and have stayed in about 40 in 12 US states and two Canadian provinces. This was one of the very best. It is a Heritage home built in 1906 and located in Armstrong Circle on the Assiniboine River. It is the family home where the innkeepers raised their three children. The breakfasts were excellent with a...

My husband and I visited Winnipeg in August 2016 and stayed in this beautiful bed and breakfast for two days. We stayed in a large, comfortable room with a huge bathroom on the third floor. The common area in the living and dining room is very welcoming; and the breakfasts were plentiful and of gourmet quality. The proprietor April Kassum...

We booked this B&B at the last minute for our one-night stay in Winnipeg at the end of our trek across the Canadian prairie. There are many positives to this property and a few factors that are a bit weird. The Columns is located in a lovely, historic part of town, very close to the water. As soon as you...

This graceful and comfortable B&B in a charming area of Winnipeg takes the term Bed and Breakfast very seriously with emphasis on breakfast. The house itself is a beautifully restored 19th mansion with extensive areas for guest to sit and relax including a spacious rear deck area. The owners do not stint themselves in providing for their visitor's comfort including...

For the last five years (most recently in March 2013) I've gone to Winnipeg two or three times a year in connection with work I do for University of Manitoba Press. My great good fortune has been to stay at The Columns during my visits. Not only is the house a lovely old heritage house conveniently situated in downtown Winnipeg,...
