Nice hotel, great front desk. Stayed with my granddaughter who thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub & pool. Stayed 3 nights. Rest of Whistler within easy walking distance. Room was fine. Nice bed, bathroom, linens and towels. We had 1 bed studio and more than enough room for us
Our family had been eagerly awaiting our time in Whistler and hotel experience. We wanted a beautiful and relaxing place to vacation as a family of 4 and the Summit Lodge met all of our expectations. We loved the modern/funky art and design from the lobby to the hotel rooms. The attention to detail in things like the Malin & Goetz body care products, the care for owners dogs, the fish at the front desk and joke of the day which our girls loved, the fun background music and even the hotel scent altogether created a positive and fun overall vibe. The staff were friendly in every area of the hotel and it was evident they worked hard to keep the hotel clean and comfortable. We especially loved the pool area as a family. After fun adventure we spent a lot of time in the pool and hot tub which made the time extra fun for our kids, especially since the weather has been incredible and hot. We purposely chose a hotel with a kitchenette so we would have the option to prepare some of our own food, and the one in our room was clean and had everything we needed. Our only disappointment was the room had a small balcony that could sit two people only, but it had a gorgeous mountain view which we appreciated for sitting on to have a coffee or end of day drink. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is steps to the village olympic park, the Fresh St Market, great coffee at Mount Currie and delicious Peaked Pies. You are as close as you need to be without being directly in the main corridor of the village stroll. Parking was easy under the hotel for$21 a day which is pricey but worth not having to move your car daily. Overall we would highly recommend the Summit Lodge to anyone traveling to Whistler who appreciates a great hotel experience.…
We love this hotel. Friendly staff, beautifully decorated and great location. This is where we stay every time we come up to Whistler. There is a Market close by that is fabvulous. They have everything you could possibly want. We bought ingredients to make breakfast most mornings and got their soup for lunch. They also have many dinner grab and go options to choose from. The Elements is a restaurant inside the hotel that serves breakfast and lunch. (very good food) There is also a wonderful Sushi restaraunt right around the corner.
Turned out to be a very nice hotel right in the village. For the most part we left our car parked and were able to walk around on the stores with easy access to some of the trails. We went at the end of October which meant it rained a great deal but since we are from Seattle we are used to that. Staff was very friendly and the in-hotel restaurant was quite good even though it was not fancy. Very good value for the money spent. Planning on coming back next September which will still be the shoulder season and doing a little more hiking this time. Certainly recommend this is a place to stay.
Amazing location and dog friendly for our three (Bailey, River and Maple). Nice to be able to enjoy a hotel stay with your dogs without forfeiting money for the furry members. The staff were great even though this was the off season. Weather was so warm this year and the funny thing was that jackets were optional. Dogs loved to swim and they dryed off pretty quick.
I love this hotel because of many reasons. First of foremost is the staff because they were friendly, happy and helpful. One night I needed a 1 page print out and she didn’t mind the hassle of printing it out. Secondly is the location. It is the middle of everything. 2 times we simply had to walk next door or across the street for breakfast. We were hiking and only had dinners 3 times and they were all within 10 minutes walk. Thirdly is the room itself. I love the kitchen, the microwave oven , the fridge. The room decoration is so cozy. The sofa and the chair soft. The room is angular but spacious. It has a balcony that faces a forest/trail. There are chairs and tables on the ground level where people can relax but we were at no time bother by the noise ( we were on the 2nd floor and near the elevator ) . If I am tired of eating out , I can cook because it has a 2 burner stove but I have to bring my own oil, salt, pepper , everything but I did see ( I think ) detergent. A+ . We took a bus there so we didn’t need to pay for parking. You don’t need a car there . We took a bus for $2.50 south to the Interpretive Forest and did 2 hikes. On the 2nd day we took a ‘góndola “ up the mountain. Great city to visit. Will definitely come back again. Thank God for the wonderful weather. …
Very friendly and accommodating front desk staff. All staff were friendly. Always greeted with a smile, and helpful when asked. Enjoyed my Queen Room, and balcony overlooking the pool. Small kitchen was just right to make breakfast. Stove top/frypan and kettle. Small coffee maker and coffee provided was not very good. (my only complaint). But plenty of good coffee options nearby. I did not try the on-site restaurant, The pool and hot tub were very nice and clean. The pool is heated, so not bothered by the lack of sunlight not permitted through by the huge lovely trees surrounding the property. Soaps and lotion located in the bathroom are of quality. You will be comfortable in knowing you can leave your soap and hair wash products at home. Lovely stuff.
Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. Nice, friendly reception staff at check in. We were advised of the parking options for parking in the town and we opted for the Hotel car park for $22 per night, it was in the basement and very convenient. The hotel is situated on the edge of the town, convenient to everything and yet very peaceful. The rooms had everything that one needed for a short stay. Would definitely stay here again.
I love a lot of things about Summit Lodge - the location is perfect for us. It's close enough to the village centre but far from the noise. We love the food places nearby. Our rooms are always clean. I love the Malin and Goetz products. Friendly staff. No pet fee! One thing i dread - the BEDS! Too soft, no support! Maybe it's time for an upgrade.
We both enjoyed our stay here. Our room on the third floor was at the rear of the hotel overlooking the pool. It was clean and tidy and well appointed with its own kitchen area, the beds are comfortable. The staff are friendly and helpful and the hotel is within easy walking of Whistler Village, where if you are lucky like us you will see a black bear wandering through the streets in the early evening.
