Four of us stayed in the cottage which was a renovated garage. It had a sleeping for five (queen bed in the loft – up a ladder, a queen Murphy bed on the main floor, and a single day bed/couch). It had a dining table and kitchenette with a microwave, stove, sink, and small refrigerator. The bathroom had a separated...

. This is not a high end place but ideal for the economy minded visitor. The rooms and the charges are small and the hosts are very pleasant and helpful. Dining near by in James Bay and a pleasant neighborhood to walk in and explore The nearby childhood home of Emily Carr is worth a visit. Take time to look...

We stayed in this place for 2 days. The hosts, Dan and Naoko, were very nice, very helpful, and did everything to make our stay pleasant. They are also fun to talk to. The breakfast was enjoyable, and the room was very comfortable for 3 of us. The location is perfect- it's close to the center and waterfront. There is...

Clean, comfortable, affordable, and a short walk to the Victoria harbor. The tasty breakfast and good conversation with other guests started the day off nicely. Dan and Naoko were very helpful with directions and suggestions.

Dan and Naoko are such great people. We stayed in the cottage while in Vic and loved every minute of it. It was very clean, has great charm, and enough space with a loft bed as well. The bathroom is big with a multi head shower and a jetted tub. There is a small kitchen area with nothing fancy but...

This is a comfortable, affordable guesthouse just minutes from downtown Victoria. Dan and Naoko were very friendly and prepare a nice breakfast for all their guests. The place is not fancy, but it's very clean and comfortable, and we wished we could have stayed there longer!

To paraphrase Henry James, "It is difficult to speak adequately or justly of The Carriage House B&B. It is not a pleasant place; it is not agreeable, or cheerful, or easy, or exempt from reproach. It is only magnificent." What we got is a lovely post Victorian gem that could not be better situated if you tried, with waterfront, city...

Six weeks away from the birth of my first child, I decided that I needed to get away for a weekend to visit family and friends on my own. Though I grew up in Victoria, I wanted a place to retreat to for some solitary time, and Dan and Naoko provided the perfect solution with the Carriage House. The Sun...

A fairly late booking made by phone during a Vancouver Island tour. Ideally located to stroll into downtown Victoria. The atmosphere of the place is homely and friendly, and very much the feel of staying with a family. For a city, prices are very reasonable, and if the décor isn't 5 star standard, the welcome certainly is. Carriage room is...

I decided last minute to do a solo trip to Victoria to explore the West Coast. Dah & Naoko was able to accomodate with my last minute plans and provided me with excellent instructions to get to the B&B as I have not been to Victoria for 20 years. They gave me a free upgrade to the Carriage Room as...
