I can not say more than I wrote in the title. The tenant seems to hate his job, dirtiness everywhere, from the kitchen to the bed. Finally, the price is not cheap despite the terrible service. Avoid it!

On the outside - looks friendly and colourful! However on the inside my opinion changed! The room we stayed in was a four bed room which we shared between us! Considering we are four students and are used to rough conditions, we were surprised at how bad this was! The bunk beds squeaked all night and were tied together as...

A friendly guy who works there really welcomed us to this place and made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were small, and had a comfortable bed. We're not very picky so this place was good for us because it's the cheapest hostel in victoria. It did seem as though there were some down and out people staying...

We have been visiting the Turtle Hostel for the past 3 summers and will be returning this summer. Unlike other reviews, our stay has been awesome. The lady in charge is a beautiful person and the condition of the rooms, and total environment was fantastic. Clean and very well maintained. I have been to many, many Hostels and this one...

My stay at the Turtle was wonderful. From spending evenings out on the large deck out back enjoying gorgeous Victoria sunsets to cooking communal meals with staff and guests to impromptu jam sessions and chess tournaments the Turtle is definitly Victoria's best kept secret! Close to downtown and still the least expensive place in town.

This is not somewhere you would want to stay if you're travelling, unless you want to hang out with the local drug addicts or alcoholics! No ventilation in the rooms which means you can barely breathe and the room stinks. Bathrooms and kitchen were disgusting! We ended up paying to eat out because we didnt want to cook in the...

Stayed here for 3 nights with 4 friends in a private 4 bed dorm, the bunk beds were incredibly squeaky and the room had no ventillation making it impossible to sleep. The kitchen and bathroomns were filthy. The owner randomly entered our room for no reason making us very suspicious of her. The location was good but splash out extra...

It is the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. The rooms and bathrooms are everything else than clean, the owner was unfriendly never responded in time, just do NOT stay at this hostel! We were 7 travellers in a group staying at this hostel in 2010.

If you want to enjoy beautiful Victoria don't stay here. The owners are rude and just want your money. They seem to have invented a fee for everything so even though it's the cheapest hostel in Victoria- the fees make it just as expensive. The owner wouldn't even let us store our bags on our final day so we could...

This is a horrible place. The location is excellent but it's dirty, the lady in the office is rude, my bed was too small, the bathrooms are gross and it really spoiled my three days in Victoria.
