We chose to return to the Oswego hotel for 18 nights while visiting our son who lives in Victoria. Being situated in a central location with guest parking for our hired car it's ideal. For such a long stay, eating out every day could be expensive so having a full kitchen and supermarkets nearby kept the cost down. A coin operated guest laundry was a must and I never had to wait, I only saw one other person in there. When we ate in the restaurant a few times we found the food and service excellent. Staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming and super helpful at all times. We would definitely recommend The Oswego to anyone visiting Victoria and will no doubt be back ourselves.
A very beautiful place - amazing room - large with two separate bedrooms, two washrooms, a nice kitchen, a lovely balcony. The hotel had a perfect location - quiet bus still close to harbour, city and restaurants and the staff is very friendly!
We stayed for 12 nights and this location is superb. Close enough to walk everything but far enough that is is quiet. The staff was incredibly friendly and spoiled our chihuahua Archi with treats. Woof woof. Great place to stay and will do it again.
The service is wonderful, helpful, and very friendly; I cannot overstate this! The rooms which are spacious and comfortable and have just about everything you could wish for. I was there for business and was out a lot, so the sizable kitchen, living, and dining space were more than I needed. Still, the balcony was a wonderful addition for enjoying the outdoors with a cup of coffee in the morining.
The hotel was in the perfect location, it was quiet and off the beaten path but very easy to walk everywhere from it. The staff were all extremely polite, friendly, and helpful. The hotel was very clean! Only thing that affected sleep quality was a portable AC unit which I found loud but everyone else slept fine with it.
At 400$ per night for a room with no proper window covering is Absurd. Absolutely no way to sleep in room 906 with the suns brightness shining through insufficient blinds with no black out curtain. At 430 am.The worst part was no black out curtain in our room . having the sun wake us up after only a few hours sleep was not at all a pleasant experience and will not be recommending the Oswego to any one we know. In fact it will be doing quite the opposite. The reception was aware of the situation and did not offer us any thing for the poor stay we had at the Oswego hotel.
We stayed here for 2nights & found it very comfortable. Staff were friendly & room was very spacious. We had dinner downstairs in the 1st night as we were quite tired from our long flight. Just a 10mins walk into the city centre which was very pleasant. Would highly recommend
The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The full kitchen is a great amenity. The hotel is conveniently located downtown near many attractions, but just off the main strip so that it is quieter. The best aspect of the Oswego, though, is their wonderfully helpful staff. They really go out of their way to make your stay a great experience.
Everything about this hotel was top notch. Staff were friendly and helpful, accommodations modern , luxurious and quiet, and brunch was delicious. It was an easy walk to Fisherman’s Wharf, Government Street and the museum. We travelled by public transportation from the ferry terminal and couldn’t have found a more convenient base for our exploration of beautiful Victoria.
We were booked into The Oswego Hotel by Audley Travel as part of a 14 days package. A delightful hotel with friendly and efficient staffing throughout. When we returned after a few days in Vancouver Island we were treated as old pals and upgraded to a suite.
