This was hotel number 6 on our fly drive tour of Western Canada from the UK. What made it so good? 1. It’s great location - two blocks back from the waterfront…away from the masses that seem to descend daily from the cruise ships! 2. Spacious underground parking - handy for the lifts to your room (Block B). 3. Large room/apartment with lounge facilities and a kitchenette - so handy! 4. A lovely balcony to sit out on - with a gentle breeze to cool the heat of the day. 5. Fabulous pool and hot tub - easily accessible. 6. An easy walk through Beacon Hill Park to Dallas Road and then on to Ogden point - fabulous in the Sun! Any downsides? 1. No AC - but the balcony has a door that opens (and can be propped open at night). In addition, there are fans in the room. 2. Fortunately our room was in Block B and didn’t face onto the main road, otherwise leaving the balcony door open at night might have created a problem with noise.

It’s a conveniently located hotel with a lovely lobby area. The room was an apartment with a lounge/kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and small patio. The furniture is pretty drab and it’s quite dark, but once you see past that it was a comfortable apartment. It did get quite hot but there were two fans which was great.

Hotel is well located and with great amenities, and having a full kitchen was what made me but… but little did I know rooms have no A/C and it was hot! And by hot I mean 26C at night! I am very sensitive to heat and had a terrible sleep due to that. Would I give another try? Yes, but def. not during summer.

Had a wonderful experience at The Parkside. The suite was spacious with a wonderful deck(s) equipped with chairs/loungers. We also enjoyed the pool and roof-top firepits for smores as a family. Only wish we had stayed longer!

The hotel consists of beautifully laid out suites. Huge king size bed, large seating area and a spacious kitchenette. There was a small balcony that overlooks the Koi pond in the centre of the foyer. Checkin and checkout was a very pleasant experience. Underground parking is available as well. Overall a great stay!

Surprisingly a beautiful hotel and we got a complimentary upgrade to 2-bedroom suite. Thank you so much and much appreciated! High ceiling room with large kitchen, large dining table, and large living room. The suite has bedrooms with 2 king beds, separate ensuite and shower, also heated floor. We had wonderful stay here. Greatly Recommended!

This hotel is very well located within easy walking distance of the centre and very close to the park. The suites are well equipped and very large, you would be comfortable there for a long stay. The roof terrace is great.

We mostly enjoyed our stay at the Parkside. We stayed in a preferred view one bedroom. It was spacious and very clean. The bed was super comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked, and the view of the city was lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we had a problem part way through our stay - there was a potent sewer smell coming from the ensuite bathroom. This really disrupted our trip as it was a stressful situation and occurred during our toddler’s nap, he was sleeping in the bedroom. Based on the staff response this is a known issue and has happened before. They did everything they could which involved pouring vinegar down the drains and airing out the room. We were unable to move rooms because the hotel was fully booked. We were a bit on edge for the the rest of our stay wondering if the smell would come back. Because of this situation, we will not return to the hotel even though everything else was wonderful. We were given a 15% discount for the trouble. Our stay barely missed their 15% off promotion (we booked just before the promotion started which would have applied had we booked later) so we felt more could have been done.

The Parkside hotel and Spa was an excellent hotel for our 2 night stay. We had a one bedroom suite which had everything you could need. It was well equipped, spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful, friendly and courteous. We only wish we had stayed longer

Location is perfect, check-in staff are genuinely welcoming, room space is second to none. The welcoming staff could not have been more helpful, map of the city, restaurant recommendations and general information re the area.
