My husband and I found this place by chance on the internet and we were encouraged by the reviews on Tripadvisor. This beautifully preseved establishment is charming and period details are gorgeous. Do NOT be put off it not being in Down-Town Victoria - there is plenty of transport into DT which is no more than 10 mins away by...

An automated gate leads to private grounds. During our stay Serina, Olivia and Dennis made us feel very welcome, offering delicious three course breakfasts each morning. A beautiful staircase...

My husband and I stayed at the Amethyst Inn for one night on May 12, 2012. The hostess, Olivia, was very gracious and attentive. She made arrangements for our breakfast to be served to us a little later than usual in order to accommodate my husband's schedule after running the Oak Bay 1/2 marathon. Breakfast was served for us after...

Back visiting my home town and I loved staying here. The owners were new at the time and they were very particular about good service and the home is a gorgeous piece of history in Victoria. A short walk from downtown and lots of free parking. Something different for visitors to Victoria away from the Inner Harbour.

This Inn was absolutely spotless. I cannot think of any other word to describe how immaculate this Inn was. The wooden staircases & finishings looked as though they...

This is a lovely quiet place to stay in an historic area of Victoria BC. The house is well maintained and spotless. The host was welcoming. The breakfast provided with the cost of the stay was delicious! The house is filled with lovely period antiques. The bed was comfortable. The stairs to the room were very steep. There is no...

Right from the beginning, Amethyst Inn provided us with a warm welcome and loads of local information to make our trip memorable. Carlson was a genuine host who is always smiling and took interest in our travels and stories. Breakfasts were delicious and the dining room is beautiful, as is the rest of the house, so well taken care of....

“The top floor rooms, although beautiful, are a bit smaller due to peaked ceilings. If you are tall this may be a bit of an issue. All the rooms are beautifully appointed. As it is a Victorian house, there are no closets, but large wardrobes are provided. There are a lot of stairs and no elevator, so if you have mobility issues this may be a problem.”

“If you have mobility issues do not stay in Room 13. You have to climb over a 3' high wall to get into the small tub or use a slippery tile step positioned off to the side.”

“I would try the free standing rooms OR one of the upstairs rooms. NOTE:I don't believe there is a pool or fitness center but my stubborn iPad won't allow me to leave those 2 categories empty, so I left them at par with the other categories.”
