Nice old hotel, right downtown 4 or 5 bars and restaurants. We were here to watch the Bluejays loose their last chance. In the sports bar, we filled out a ticket to win a baseball jersey, but after waiting an hour, for the entertainment ticket lady, gave up and went next door to eat. The 3rd presidential debate was coming... More

Reggie, Thank you for your review. Sorry about the debate being hard to watch in the pub. A perfect storm, Canadian football, Blue Jays, Cubs vs the Dodgers and the debate. We are know for our sports viewing so the debate was on the back burner. We did have the Demarcates Abroad Association book our banquet space for the debate... More

We stayed here for 2 nights & thought it was a lovely spot. Great price - for the area. Very handy location close to the harbour & downtown Victoria. We had a queen room & private bathroom which was adequate for our needs. Clean and tidy. Lovely views toward the harbour with afternoon sun streaming in. Breakfast was included -... More

We stayed here for the Victoria Marathon. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable and look freshly renovated. They serve a very nice breakfast in the resterauntsh there are several restaurants as part of the hotel. Close to shopping and downtown attractions.

This was a nice hotel at a good rate. It is an old hotel that is located in downtown Victoria. The staff was very helpful and the building was well maintained. The room reminded me of a hotel in New York City.

Stayed here for a portion of our honeymoon thinking it would be a beautiful hotel in the perfect location. However, the hotel felt dirty, there is no air conditioning, just a window that slides open that does NOT have a screen, and the bath tub had mould in it. Not impressed and would never stay again or recommend to anyone.... More

Rooms are dated and in need of refurbishment but are clean and comfortable. It is in the middle of Victoria and only minutes from the waterfront, shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel contains the biggest nightclub in the city but this did not stop us sleeping as we were on floor 5. Breakfast buffet style and adequate if you like... More

The location was very good and the room was small but quaint. The major drawback was the noise (music and screaming) from the bar(s) below us. It was a Saturday night so the noise lasted until 3am. The Sunday and Monday nights were fine though. Staff was not overly sympathetic. Just be careful where your room is located. Not sure... More

Even when you specifically ask for a room away from the night clubs, they put you directly over one and lie to your face about when it closes. And when I brought up the black mold on the shower walls I was blown off and given a tale that it was only discoloration. Avoid like the plague.

Staff were very friendly and the continental breakfast was good. But bed was hard and pillows very lumpy. Gave me and husband a bad back!! Great location though and the Sticky Wicket restaurant attached was very good value for money.
