I spent five nights here in late March 2013. The location would be hard to beat. It is within easy walking distance of many of the locations I came to visit: Inner Harbour, Royal BC Museum, Maritime Museum, shopping district and restaurants in downtown Victoria etc. The price was very reasonable. I had breakfast in their restaurant five days and... More

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Royal Scot and overall enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere is very very friendly and welcoming, though the hotel is older and little dated. Rooms were very clean. The staff we found were excellent and very helpful. The hotel location and parking are very good and we would there again. Cost was... More

We got a suite with kitchenette and it was great for us. We are a family of 5 on a tight budget when we travel. My kids are 14,10 and 8. They all liked the pool and games room. I noticed that most guests in the hotel are seniors. The hotel staff was super friendly. The decor isn't the most... More

Victoria is blessed with cordial service people, and Royal Scot is tops. Perfect friendly stay near Victoria harbour a close walk to anything you'd want to visit, and great parking. Walk to Empress, Imax, breakwater, Parliament, pubs, restaurants, and more.

This hotel is located within an easy walking distance of all the major attractions around the inner Harbour, including the Bug Zoo. We stayed in a one bedroom with two kids and three adults and found it to be the perfect fit. The queen sized sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. We brought dinner in and enjoyed eating together at the... More

I always think that from the outside this hotel looks a little tacky. I have stayed here three times now, before, during, and after renovations and I have to say it has surprised me in a good way each time. The people on reception are very friendly and up-beat with great smiles. Thank you for the offer of fresh fruit... More

We reserved through Travelocity and got a good price. We did not realize we were getting a suite! It was very comfortable, with a full kitchen and a separate bedroom and living room. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful. There is a free shuttle that will take you anyplace in the central city and pick you up also. There's an... More

We needed to find a hotel that could accomodate my wife and I plus our three young children. The youngest (20 months) is a very light sleeper. The Royal Scot was a fantastic choice. Cost-efficient, many suite options for rooms, and super friendly staff. They definitely cater to an older clientele, but we felt very welcomed and at home here.... More

This is my second trip to Victoria for work related. I was recommended by friends to try the Royal Scot and I enjoyed my 1st experience so much, I've made it my destination of choice when I need to visit Esquimalt. The staff is friendly, and the rooms are comfortable, quiet and most important to me, they are clean. This... More

I was in Victoria for the first time in May 2012 with my handicapped mother. We stayed in one of the suites with a kitchenette and it was perfect! The James Bay location was wonderful! Removed enough that things were quiet, but close enough to downtown to be able to walk everywhere. The staff was amazing, very accommodating to someone... More
