A modern, comfortable hotel in a great location, close to the harbour front, and a variety of restaurants and pubs. The breakfast offered was very good, with a wide selection of food and drink. We have stayed here in the past and will do so again.
Location fabulous, staff fabulous, cleanliness fabulous, rooms fabulous. We have only good things to say about this hotel and we would not hesitate to recommend it .We look forward to returning as soon as possible. Definitely a 10 out of 10 experience
I had a room overlooking the harbour. The view was great. There was a small kitchenette. Very Suitable for a longer stay. The room was quite large with plenty of space for a small gathering. I would recommend staying here when in Victoria.
The proximity to the harbour and walking distance to many things is a huge plus. It was clean, but needs to be updated (Circa 2000 Reno?). I haven’t seen a phone the style in our room in a decade. The outdoor pool was closed and the hot tub was nice but small. The morning breakfast was really good. It was nice to have a small kitchenette but we didn’t use it.
Wonderful room, underground parking and great, hot breakfast! It's a 5 minute walk to the ferry! I love the fact that they have a laundry room and a work-out room as well, although the TV set needs an upgrade; doesn't work well. Only recommendation for breakfast is that they should serve more vegetarian friendly sausage and hot egg dishes for vegetarians, too.
Was upgraded to 5th floor corner room with 2 balconies and kitchenette. Great bed and wonderful views of the harbor and boats coming and going. Super convenient to everything in Victoria including the Empress, BC Museum and IMAX and shopping and restaurants. Perfect location
I love everything about this hotel: good location, room amenities, free breakfast, friendly staff. They even have a kitchenette area and balcony in the room, which is a big bonus!! Will definitely stay here again in the future.
Unfortunately had issue with bedbug in room, first time for me actually had to google what a bedbug looked like. Manager handled it very well and moved me to another room promptly and removed charge for one night. I was actually going to go find another hotel but didn’t think anywhere else would be much better.
Great location, clean, good continental breakfast. Room was comfortable and a good size. Bed wasn’t overly comfortable as they put a king mattress on queen box spring Only downfall is that the room didn’t have air conditioning.
The location of this hotel is great. It's a block from the Parliament Buidling and the harbour walk. A tad further to the Empress Hotel. If you're mobile, this is a great starting point. I use a cane, it's minutes to the downtown shopping and browsing areas by car, a little longer on foot, and not a long drive (if you have a car) to Fisherman's Wharf, and the drive to Ogden Point and Beacon Hill Park. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and we really liked the breakfast staff. Breakfast itself, however, is not great. There is an egg option, which is hit or miss on being rubbery, and only a pretty bad sausage/sausage patty as the meat option. There are boiled eggs, but they are stone cold. The room was great! We had a small kitchen area, which made the room feel larger, and a nice balcony. The room was very comfortable, nicely styled, and we had really good sleeps (the pillows are amazing!). We faced the park, which was lovely and green even in late September. We would recommend this hotel, but really hope they improve the breakfast. …
