Last night was my very first night in Canada. I saw the reviews here on tripadvisor and decided to book two nights at Abigails. Since I waited until the day before to make the reservation, there was only the $420/night room left but we decided to splurge and go for it. Upon arrival, I was a bit disappointed that the...

Dear Randi H, I am sorry that you disagree with the enforcement of our cancellation policy. Our cancellation policy exists to protect our customers as well as our business. Unlike industry practice, Abigail's does not believe in 'overselling' its rooms whereby certain other properties factor in a cancellation contingency and continue to sell more rooms than they actually have. Sometimes...

This hotel is lovely in every way. The staff is pleasant, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. I appreciated their approach to enviornmentally friendly options (though it would have been nice to have a small recycle garbage can in the room). They offer a fantastic library of books and DVD's should you choose to "stay...

We were slightly concerned that Abigail's was located in a residential area - we should not have been worried. It is well within comfortable walking distance to Victoria ( 10 mins ). The room was both comfortable and clean. We particularly liked the secluded courtyard with hummingbirds flitting around. The staff were very attentive, professional and eager to please. A...

What a delightful place. The room was quiet, clean, beautifully furnished with a fireplace and a small balcony. Everything of the highest quality and in proper working condition The staff are very accommodating but not overbearing. Breakfast included in the room was fresh, well prepared and served in a delightful dining room. Everything fresh and prepared onsite. The evening reception...

For a special stay in the city of Victoria, B.C., I would highly recommend this hotel. The experience was fabulous! It is a little offset from the downtown area and the grand Empress hotel, but it is well within walking distance of many things around the downtown area. While the rates are not cheap, it was much more cost effective...

Pricey but well worth it. Beautiful place, inside and outside, close to downtowns Inner Harbor area. Staff was fantastic, and food was excellent. Definitely on our list to go to again if in the Victoria area.

We stayed two nights recently. Abigail's is a charming small hotel (or B&B) with comfortable (even luxurious) rooms and friendly attentive staff. Breakfast is wonderful as are the daily afternoon appetizers. The hotel is a short walk away from the busy downtown harbor area and about a 30 minute drive from the Butchart Gardens. Safe off-street parking is provided. Also...

Special trip for my birthday (complimentary bottle of wine in room) - 6 days in Victoria. Hotel is lovely; room was delightful; bed very comfy, staff attentive and caring. I had a bad experience at the beginning (airline lost my luggage for 3 days); Abigail's staff went out of their way to be helpful. The outside patio was delightful for...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Victoria. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Lovely breakfasts and complimentary Lemonade and Appetisers every afternoon really made this a memorable stay. Recommend the Spa massage - did my dodgy knee the world of good!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abigail's Hotel is a unique accommodation experience that blurs the lines between a small luxury hotel and a heritage bed-and-breakfast Inn. Abigail's is an adult-only, intimate 23-room property that is housed in a 1930's Tudor mansion. Its special atmosphere blends the romance and charm of the past with the comfort and convenience of modern accommodation. Located in romantic Victoria, British Columbia, Abigail's is quietly situated on the edge of the bustling downtown core and is three short blocks from Victoria's Inner Harbour, within walking distance of all the major downtown attractions and restaurants. Life is too short to be conventional, discover a splendour and charm that has been lost to the ages and uniquely exists at Abigail's. ... more   less
