We have stayed here several times, usually in 1B, and keep returning for rest and relaxation - the friendly and professional staff, ambiance, delicious breakfast and hors d'oeuvres the afternoon, a glass of wine in front of the crackling fire in the library on a rainy Victoria day - I could keep going on and on, however, that would be repeating...

We arrived tired from a days travelling and sightseeing. The welcome we received was genuinely warm and we were shown to our room quickly. Attention to detail and comfort, quality of fittings, music in the room all combined to relax us and we felt at home. . . . The freshly prepared breakfast was a particular highlight and we would...

My husband and I stayed in this historic mansion for 3 nights and had a wonderful, relaxing time over the Christmas holiday. Our room was beautifully appointed with luxurious sheets, fluffy bathrobes and many amenities. The staff greeted us with a gift of their own calendar and some cookies. Breakfast is served from 7:30 - 10 am and each day...

We stayed three days in December 2016 at the Abigail's to enjoy some Christmas shopping in Victoria. The lovely boutique hotel in a charming older home was within easy walking distance to down-town, but was totally removed from the noise and buzz of down-town hotels. A jewel to relax, lovely staff who could not have done more to take care...

My sister and I stayed for three days in December while visiting our mum who lives on Collinson Street which is a few minutes walk. When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by staff. Ours rooms were beautiful and comfortable. There was a gift of a calendar, a hand-written welcome card, and some delicious cookies in our room. Plus Fresh...

This is a special hotel with amazing staff. Every detail is taken care of. Breakfasts are fantastic with fresh scones or muffins, fruit, juice, coffee, tea, and choice of savory or sweet entrees with sides of potatoes and bacon or ham. Immaculate kitchen and dining room prepared by a professional chef. Staff, including Jamie, Alice and Allison were so thoughtful...

Always a pleasure to stay in. Warm, welcoming and charming. Ideally located within easy walking distance of downtown, the harbour and the parliament buildings, but lacking the hustle and bustle of the bigger brands. More like a B&B than a hotel really. Lots of free parking, happy hour bites and drinks and a nice breakfast.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Abigail's Hotel is a unique accommodation experience that blurs the lines between a small luxury hotel and a heritage bed-and-breakfast Inn. Abigail's is an adult-only, intimate 23-room property that is housed in a 1930's Tudor mansion. Its special atmosphere blends the romance and charm of the past with the comfort and convenience of modern accommodation. Located in romantic Victoria, British Columbia, Abigail's is quietly situated on the edge of the bustling downtown core and is three short blocks from Victoria's Inner Harbour, within walking distance of all the major downtown attractions and restaurants. Life is too short to be conventional, discover a splendour and charm that has been lost to the ages and uniquely exists at Abigail's. ... more   less
