The Surf Motel is a gem. On Dallas Road in Victoria, this small motel faces the sea and Ogden Harbor. The Inner Harbor is a short walk away. Clean and comfortable. This is where we will stay when we once again visit beautiful Victoria.

The Surf has been updated with white bedding and comfy leather chairs without spoiling the retro look. I loved everything about it...the staff, cleanliness, view, price, great bed and convenience to downtown without crowds of people. A short walk to James Bay Village, has cafes, pub, dining and groceries. I will definitely return.

Lovely visit, older hotel but great rooms, king bed, small fridge, stove/oven, TV, wifi. Perfect location, breathtaking views, beach right across the street, walk the beach or the path, or walk downtown (15-30 min walk). Water taxi close at Fisherman's Wharf. Close to USA cruise services (Victoria Clipper). Staff helpful and friendly.

Though I've been to Victoria many times this was the first time we tried the Surf Motel. The rooms are spacious and the beds are new and comfortable but the best part was the view! Full ocean and mountain views from our 2nd floor King room and all you have to do is cross the street to go on any...

We were a party of four, two couples and stayed on the main level of the duplex on the property. Very retro, old but well kept and spacious. Cruise ships come in right near this motel. Close to downtown. Nice walking area along the beach or out onto the wharf.

Right on Dallas Road. The ocean was not about 200 ft from our balcony. Balcony is 5x 8. Room for a couple of chairs to while away the afternoon. King size, fridge stove so we didn't have to get up the first thing in the morning and looking for breakfast. Enjoyed coffee on the balcony. Super clean. I needed an...

We booked based on trip advisor reviews , unfortunately we had a ground floor room and the noise from the tv in the next room made it unbearable, they watched tv till 1.30 am and there is no sound proofing, I feel bad giving this rating as it is a neat property, very clean and the staff are accommodating ....

This is a very well preserved motel that just goes to show old does not need to mean dirty or uncomfortable. The room was large, the bed was good, the kitchenette functional, and the bathroom had everything you need in a very compact space. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location offers great views over the ocean and US coastal mountains....

Our last visit to Surf Motel I admitted that while I love the place; their internet service was quite poor. For me that's a problem. I'm happy to say that the service, beds, view, and sparkling version of retro 60's chic all are as wonderful as ever and the internet is fine now as well. Very much enjoy staying here.
