Stayed at the hotel for a couple of days and felt very comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great room. Good location - a lot of places can be reached by foot. Price quality ratio is as good as it can get (had a room, breakfast & parking deal). At breakfast they served probably the best croissants I ever had...

We had a good experience at the Loden, however it certainly wasn't excellent. The staff were friendly upon check in, however I don't think we looked like their usual guests. When we asked about getting around Vancouver we were told bus, sky train or taxi and when we got to our room we were surprised to find they have a...

Nice hotel and very nice staff in a decent though uninspiring central location. Also a bit expensive and lacking in any real character or ambience of its own...comforms to same idea of mass produced chic you see everywhere.

Stayed here having been invited to speak at Vancouver conference. Hotel was a delight and about 15 minutes walk away from the seafront. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Great value. Would def stay again.

This is a near perfect boutique hotel experience. The room design is brilliant with lots of design details and features to explore. The service is very personal and attentive and genuine. My room had a clothes steamer, no iron, which worked well. There were macaroons and a personal note in my room upon arrival. They gave my group a free...

The whole atmosphere from the moment of entering The Loden Hotel was welcoming and friendly. The front desk staff couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had a perfect stay. The bed was very comfortable with very good quality linen, room stylish and beautifully decorated. I can happily recommend this hotel if you're coming to Vancouver for a...

We stayed for 2 nights just after New Years and had a great stay. The hotel was perfect - clean, quiet and in a great location. Our room was lovely with lots to discover and find - we stayed in a Garden Terrace room - the Vancouver rain didn't really allow us to enjoy the outdoor space too much but...

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
