Wife and I spent 4 nights at the Loden earlier this week. Vancouver weather was snowy and cold but the comfort of the Loden took away all of the chill. Had a Corner room with great view of snowy Vancouver downtown area. Hotel staff were super courteous and efficient. We had one great dinner and three breakfast buffets at the...

We visited for a couple of nights. Great location in Downtown Vancouver. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good gym open 24 hours which was good for the jet lag. Room was lovely - spacious with a good bathroom & lovely Molton Brown toiletries. Funny quirky slidey partition thing between bathroom and main room - may appeal to some??

What impressed me the most was the service. The front desk was always very welcoming and the porters were very friendly. There are also some extras such as complimentary taxi service around town that is quite handy. The location is within walking distance to all the shops but far enough to be quite serene! Thanks Loden for making our stay...

Such friendly and accommodating staff! The rooms are beautiful too and the hotel is in the best part of downtown in my opinion. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted warmly and even given an upgraded suite. Dinner at Tableau was fantastic, be sure to try out a cocktail. All around 5 star!

A perfect boutique hotel: staff, service and comfort. My family and I were hosted for two different periods as we made a trip to Whistler, when we got back they had "treats" and message wishing a great return. Coincidentally I spent my birthday there and was surprised in the room with a champagne and an affectionate card. Every day a...

Best thing about the Loden is the friendliness of all the staff. Add a very convenient location and wonderful rooms and you have the ideal Vancouver hotel. We arrived from Australia and needed a respite before heading to Whistler. The Loden was perfect!

We've stayed at the Loden about 10 times now. They are always super helpful and friendly. My nephew's 4th birthday (and first Canucks game) was the reason for our stay. On the night of his actual birthday, there was a card for him wishing him a happy birthday and a couple of macroons (which has been his favourite cookie since...

lovely folk operate the Ludon. Rooms are great, there's a brilliant brasserie attached, where we ate really well, it's the perfect little transition hotel to stay a day or two. Ludon is close to the harbour, to the city, to wonderful Gastown. really recommend this place.

Staying in Downtown

Neighbourhood Profile
Downtown
Vancouver's business district, the Downtown area is bustling with smartly-dressed folks balancing their lattes and briefcases to and from work. The area's plethora of contemporary commercial, residential, and corporate spaces has bred a landscape of nouveau restaurants, chain cafes, and upmarket shopping options. However, located right on the waterfront of Vancouver's energetic Harbour, Downtown is a also popular public meeting spot, with a massive public library and convention center attracting a bevy of visitors both local and not, as well as a hotspot for the arts, being home to some of Vancouver's most cutting-edge galleries. With behemoth architecture and a professional air, Downtown means business.
